We have cruised several times, Royal ~ Princess, and this was the first time for NCL. Never again, even speaking with other passengers, they all agreed, the staff on the Spirit was not familiar with where anything was. The lack of information given was terrible. I would not cruise NCL again. The ship was beutiful, so we made the best of what we had.

We have cruised 5-6 times before this NCL cruise and this was one of the best. Freestyle cruising is terrific. Dine when you like where you like. There are upscale restaurants that you must pay a cover, but the free restaurants are as good as the upscale. You don't have to worry about figuring out the tips for the staff, it's figured out for you and added to you bill daily. For the most part the staff was great, but we had a few crabby ones on this cruise. Which is understandable due to the fact that they may be on that ship for 10-12 months at a time. The ship was clean. It wasn't crowded except around the pool area. And that's expected.

We went on this ship for an 8 day vacation to Bermuda out of NYC. The crew, ship and and Ports of Call were EXCELLENT. The crew took such good care of us and the food was excellent. I have cruised many times and I have cruised on the luxuary lines and this was very comparable.

The Ports Of Call were wonderful for those of use who love the beach. The food was not impressive. Our bed was horrible. The bed was so hard we woke up each day with back aches. Told our Room Steward, no improvement made. Many times I had to step out of the way of on-coming crew, they seldom gave the right away. Overall not a good crew or tastefull food. We did not come home feeling pampered as we have on our other 3 cruises.

This was our first experience on a cruise ship. It was fun , exciting, but relaxing. Everything you need to think about was all taken care of. Food, lodging, travel, and entertainment were all taken care of and great! The extra charges ie; Drinks, Resteraunt cover charge, Tipping charges per person rubbed me the wrong way because i took my wife and six children ages 1 to 15yrs. on the trip and it made the trip cost a whole lot more.

The ship is set up very well, and very well kept. Embarkation and de-embarkation was a breeze. We loved the express checkout.

I found this cruise to lack entertainment! The bars were very boring. The top deck where the pool was empty with nothing going on. The bingo on board was very exspensive,and you only played 4 games. BORING CRUISE!!!!!!!!!

SHIP SEEMED TO BE BIG ENOUGH BUT HAVING ONE MAIN POOL ON DECK FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE?WHERE WERE ALL THE NIGHT PARTIES AND GAMES THEY TALKED ABOUT?NEED MORE PARTIES ON DECK.ENOUGH WITH THE 75.00 BINGO EVENTS.SEEMED LIKE I WAS ON A GAMBLE CRUSIE INSTEAD OF A PARTY BOAT?I LOVE TO PARTY AND FOUND MYSELF IN BED ALMOST EVERYNIGHT AT 11 PM ?

The ship was nice. The staff was inconsistent in terms of friendliness and service. I thought the prices for drinks and excursions were way over priced. Doing our own thing after the first port of call was the best decision we made.

We were quite impressed with everything, the ship, the room, food, entertainment. Everything was excellent!

The ship itself was beautiful. Big enough that it did not feel crowded and the atmosphere of the ship was n ice

The ship is 9 years old and needs some attention in some areas such as carpeting and some paint.

The ship was beautiful and very clean. We had a balcony room which was a little small compared to our balcony room on Princess. There was not that much storage available and they wouldn't separate the queen size bed into 2 twin beds for me. There was a pull out sofa bed but the springs were all popping out so we couldn't use that. They were very quick to pick up any dirty dishes or bring you something to drink. They add a gratuity to everything! They added a $9.00 gratuity when I purchased the soda card the first day! Remember, every day, they add a Service charge to your account. They don't consider that a tip though.

The overall experience on the Spirit was okay, however, it is less impressive when you compare the Spirit with the Dawn. The ship is a older ship and the carpets in the public areas and seats in the theater are worn out. The bathroom in my cabin is dingy and there is mold on the tiles in the shower. The food was good in the main restaurants with different menu everyday. We ate at Le Bistro and Caney's steak house, However, you need to make the reservation early in the morning otherwide you will be out of luck. The first two days of our cruise were rain out. We did not do anything in Bermuda. We did have great time on the beach in Tortola and St. Thomas.
