Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
After being on the ship for 18 days the food seemed very repetitive. Breakfast was the same every single day. No eggs benedict. Good omelet bar but after a while the same eggs, potatoes and french toast were boring. No waffles, no hashbrowns. Same juice mixes daily. The highlight of the lunch buffet was the noodle bowl soups which had different flavors daily. Again a lot of repetition on the buffet items. The main dining rooms had 5 different entrees and 1 different App, soup and salad daily. Some were good some were just ok. The best meal was at Cagneys steak house. You can tell the difference in quality.

Onboard Activities

They had a fitness center and a very small selection of books in the library. Too cold to use thte pool and jacuzzi.

Entertainment

The Elements show was great! The cruise director was nice an friendly. In my opinion, they did not have enough to do for people who don't like to play games and gamble. They only showed about 5 movies the entire trip. There were a number of venues they could haver used to show movies daily but they didn't. I am used to being on a Carnival cruise with at least 1 movie daily and 2 comedians at night. They had 1 comedian the whole 18 day cruise and it was only 2 shows. They had 2 different mentalist/magicians and they both did a lot of the same tricks. The live music was ok but they had the same 5 groups for all 18 days. They should have swapped them out in our last stop in Alaska.

Very nice looking ship

Cabin / Stateroom

Very small and we had a chair the could not be removed blocking one corner of the bed so you had to climb over the bed. The bed was super hard and uncomfortable. My husband did not get 1 good night sleep on that bed. It was clean and the bathroom layout was nice.

Ship tip

Bring something like a book to read to keep you occupied.
