Review summary

This was the most exciting itinerary for a cruise BUT it resulted in an extremely disappointing experience. We missed 5 ports of call, including cancellation of the 2 port calls in Iceland. The captain continuously claimed the weather was unsafe to dock at various ports. Cruise lines either employ or receive advice of reputable meteorologists who can accurately predict weather conditions. Yet, time and again, the ship would be within visual distance of a port and the captain would be too fearful to dock. This cruise should have been cancelled prior to departure since NCL was fully aware of all unsafe weather conditions well in advance. Each passenger should have been provided a partial or full refund since the itinerary was so drastically changed. We will NEVER travel on NCL again. Either the captain was incompetent or the ship was not equipped for all types of weather conditions.
