Review summary

This itinerary which included Iceland was fabulous. We had 90% sunshine. We had good sailings. The long days with so much sunshine was hard to beat. Always wear layers. Even when it was cold we weren’t cold. Take a headband for the wind. Mini gloves were useful. Wear a high neck zip up sweatshirt. Keep your camera in your pocket for whale sightings and the beautiful snow covered mountains.

Did our own walking tour. Steep streets but great views. The Titantic Memorial Garden is worth the walk.

Liverpool, England

Did our own walking tour. The observation deck in St John’s Beacon radio tower is a must see. It’s walkable from port. Albert Docks is full of stores, cafes, Skywheel, and much more.

Belfast, Northern Ireland

We didn’t visit the city for lack of time. We went on excursion to Giants Causeway. Absolutely stunning. A must see.

Reykjavik, Iceland

We did a self walking tour the first day from port to Old Harbour. Shuttle bus available for small fee. It’s about 6km walk. Lots to see. Do some research before you go so you don’t miss anything. The second day we took bus excursion through the city and surrounding countryside. Stopped at Perlan. Stay up til midnight to experience the land of midnight sun. Views were great.

Akureyri, Iceland

Town is walkable. Botanic gardens are walkable. Great gift stores. Took bus excursion to Godafoss waterfalls. So beautiful. Great tour of countryside. We didn’t have enough time there. Everyone thought for the money we paid we could have stayed longer at the falls. That was only complaint.

Geiranger, Norway

Do the walking tours. Or take hop on hop off bus. Go to the lookouts. The views are so out of this world beautiful. In the morning on the way into the fjords make sure you get up early like maybe 5:00am to see the views.

Flaam, Norway

Not a lot to do here unless you take an excursion. There is some walking trails. It was all very pretty. Nice relaxing stop.

We took bus tour to Ghent and did Canal cruise. We had some free time to walk through the town and buy some local chocolate. So very delicious. Would recommend this tour.
