Review summary

Overall, this was a great cruise. Any improvements would mostly be in the excursions. Some guides were wonderful to be with and informative. Others, not. Also, the activity levels need to be accurate and a full description should be included, and the guides should be asked to adhere to the information we guests signed up for. A good example happened in Rome on the last day. The guide provided a far different tour than what was described and activity level was way off.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All were wonderful and professional. The food was delicious and the staff very accommodating and pleasant. The one improvement would be that the bacon was very undercooked and fatty everyday.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The evening entertainment with Shane and Cesar were outstanding. The Aldo Trio were not exciting and uninteresting, especially the female lead.

Entertainment

Shane and Cesar were top notch. The Aldo Trio not.

Children's Programs

I did not bring children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was super clean. The only design I would improve is to keep the Raffles Buffet fully open at all times and not block it off for La Trattoria or for transition between meals.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was always clean and we loved it. The beds were comfortable and we had enough storage space.

Ship tip

Get the balcony room. It’s worth it.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

We did the highlights of Rome at the end of the trip. The activity level was horribly mismatched and the tour guide was not listening to the group concerns. It was six miles of walking and several had walking issues. She was asked to slow down several times. There was also not enough time for lunch/free time in Trevi Fountain. We had 27 minutes when it was supposed to be an hour. We really did not appreciate the visit to the leather factory- a complete waste of time.

Santorini, Greece Did not visit port

High winds caused the Captain to cancel it.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Best of Athens and it’s Scenic Coast. This was a wonderful tour and very impressive. The tour guide did a great job. IT was a lot of walking and should be a level 3. Lunch was amazing!

Mykonos, Greece

LOVED Mykonos! I did the Spanish version of Scenic Views. The tour guide was great.

Rhodes, Greece

The activity level was not appropriately marked. This is a high level 3. The steep steps up were very difficult. The tour guide was not great. The group was left on their own and she did not keep track of the entire group. Anyone walking slowly (which was needed due to level of difficulty) was left behind. On the plus side, the scenery in the village and hospitality from vendors were great. Ancient Lindos and Acropolis

Souda (Chania), Crete

We did Agia Triada and Monastery. The tour guide, Tatiana, was wonderful. Very warm and caring. The very big downside was that it was too short of a tour. We had NO time for lunch or shopping and were rushed.

Valletta, Malta

4X4 excursion was amazing. The driver, Maurice, was very informative and professional. The scenery was fabulous. Malta was so clean and pretty.

Messina, Sicily

Highlights of Taormina. The views were wonderful. The tour guide was not. She did not have a lot of information and just kept repeating geographical details rather than historical information.

Naples, Italy

Sorrento and Amalfi by Land and Sea. I really loved this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The views were amazing. The food in Sorrento was fabulous.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

4 out of 5
Easy. Florence. The guide just walked us from the bus to the square and then left us for the remainder. Also, she could not control her voice level on the bus and it was at high volume for the bus tour, even after the group asked her to lower it.

Disembarkation

Organized and fast
