Review summary

This was a first experience on a cruise holiday for my brother and I. We both had enjoyed sailing on Norwegian Spirit. The staff were friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and sailing was smooth. However the ship’s announcements could not be heard while we were in our room.

All nicely arranged and buffet menu is varied. Plus lots of delicious cakes, pastries, fruits etc. for snack time However, food served at the specialty restaurants were a bit too salty.

All thumbs up! Very satisfactory and our ocean view room had a picture frame window which allowed us to have a clear view, especially upon arriving at the piers :)

Ship tip

It was our first experience sailing on Norwegian Spirit though, but would highly recommend.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

The queue at up for the bus ride to the ship was pretty long. We did not do an excursion at the port. Though there was difficulty at the train station coming in from Rome. As most passengers had heavy luggage there was no escalator or elevator to go up from the platform after getting off the train. Everyone had to climb up the stairs with their heavy bags. And most of them were senior people, bless them.

It rained that morning and thought the walk from the ship to the port terminal was a bit long. If raincoats could be provided to visitors...

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Marseille (Provence), France

After getting off our bus coming in from the city, we had to walk very long distance to get back to the ship. It’s quite exhausting especially for those with walking difficulties and after spending a day walking in the city.
