I did not enjoy having to pay additional charges in order to eat at 3/7 restaurants. The "included" restaurants had minimal selections and the food was below average. The specialty restaurants were outstanding, however they required an additional 10-20 dollars per person.

YES IT WAS MY FAMILIES FIRST TIME GOING. I WAS NEVER SICK ON THE BOAT. YOU FORGET ABOUT BEING OUT TO SEA. IT WAS A GREAT FAMILY CRUISE FOR ALL AGES. THANKS AGAIN, GALE K.

The cabin was small but not as small as I was imagining. I wish they had a hairdryer in the bathroom, as I did not pack mine. Lots, and lots of things to do if you wanted to, something for every age.

The food and service were good on our cruise. However, we booked specifically because it was billed as a family cruise. Our daughter 23 days short of her 2nd birthday, was not allowed to participate in the available childcare. Therefore, we could not go dancing, see a show, gamble (we were asked to leave) or any nightime activities. Spoke to several personnel and they would not "work something out" Once I asked for some juice for a sippy cup and they insisted on charging me $2, The NCL people seemed to be only interested in my money. If you have children, I would suggest you look elsewhere. Norwegian Cruise Lines......kids not welcome.......but your money is !!!!

The ship used to be the Aloha, and is decorated in Hawaiian motif. With that in mind, it would have been fun if they included some Hawaiian foods, or type of activities.

Recommend for first time cruisers, but if you have been on other nicer lines like royal Carib, you will consider this a step down. Food, casino, cable TV not quite up to par, last minute change of itin that didnt stop at private island. Onboard shopping didnt offer good deals. Bingo was very pricey

I enjoyed the SKY very much. It wasn't the best cruise I have been on, but it was a wonderful vacation and well worth the price. It was a nice mix of passengers' ages, families, and singles. It was not rowdy and we weren't woken up by staggering neighbors at 2:00am. I loved being able to walk directly on the ship with no wait, and then walk off the ship with all my luggage if I wanted to without having to do the color-coded luggage tags, only to search for them amongst a mass of other luggage at the port. (The Express Traveler is a nice option to have - just leave the boat when you want, as long as it is before 10am!)

It was very disappointing to the group of 8. I was shocked at the limited choices of food. No all day buffets. The crew was not to pleasent to deal with. To order food from room service was bad. It took 45 min to 1 hour to receive our food which was cold or uncooked. We celebrated a 50th birthday and was told a cake would be in the room on Tuesday, never seen it. 2 of our groups were guarenteed 9th floor state rooms and was put on 7th floor next to the kids zones. What a way to celebrate a 50th birthday. We were all ready to get off of this cruise. Do not buy the vidio unless you want to see the crews behind the seen or the shops on the islands which was not helpful since you did not see the vidio until you came home. I will end here because this could go on all day. I would strongly recommend to select a different cruise. This was our 7th and we were very disappointed.

The ship was very clean.

The ship was very clean and attractive. The buffet was quite small and had no trays to carry food to the table. Lack of help also,made it hard to keep food warm while getting a drink.

It was easy to get around and was being updated with new carpeting etc/.

Ship's personnel were very professional and friendly. The stateroom was clean and comfortable, but the bathrooms should be overhauled. We will certainly use for our next cruise in 2009..

boring ship

For Norweigan promoting themselves as the "newest fleet in the industry" I feel they really need to take a look at how some of the "older" fleets are operating. The total esthetics of the entire ship was poor. I read all of the previous reviews after booking the trip, and was ready to make my own unbiased opinion once boarding. Come to find out all most every negative review was correct. Our cabin was on the 9th deck and everyday there was a smell of sewage both in the hallway and coming through the air in the cabin. The food was substandard. Cruises are known for the culinary masterpieces, but with this boat they seem to not know how to prevent lobster from being overcooked. The only superb meal we had was at Cagney's Steakhouse which was $20/person extra. Finally, we were uninformed of the $10/person per day service charge for dining and housekeeping staff AUTOMATICALLY included to our bill.

Food was not of a good quality. The public rooms on ship, were extremely cold. Rooms and shower area, are quite small.

NCL was our first cruise and according to others on the ship, we made the best choice for our cruise. We were told some horror stories about some other cruise lines and we're very happy that we chose NCL

This was our first cruise and we had such a wonderful time. We were very impressed with the ship and the staff. We had a very nice experience for our first cruise. We are glad that we chose the freestyle cruise for our first cruise. I would highly recommend this ship for first time travelers or a quick get away cruise. The Kid Corner on this cruise was absolutely wonderful. Our son who is 4 loved it, they kept him very busy and the staff was just so nice. It was like we knew them all along.

The staff were excellant, Any question or problem was taken care of right then and there.

Despite the best efforts of the crew this ship was like a lousy hotel you are stuck on with bad food, run down, ugly decor and you pay for EVERYTHING!!!

None of the help could give you a straight answer! No one knew what was going on. It seemed very unorganized. While in port there is NO music pool side for those who didn't want to see the Bahamas AGAIN. We asked the bar servers when they would play music and everyone gave us a different time! The music never happened until later that evening. Food service for dinner was extremely slow, I'd rather have a set time for dinner, Freestyle is way over rated! Food was just okay. They promoted a marguerita tasting and because of a low turnout they cancelled! So much for the people who showed up. The shows were really weak in talent, but okay. The ship was very clean but we had a cranky room steward! We found out he was going home after 10 months on board. His service was poor. I wouldn't cruise NCL again.
