We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the ship greatly, dining was extreamly nice with great service and menu. I do believe that a gratuity should not be automatic or it is not a gratuity. When the gratuity is automatic the service personnel tend to not give the extra to earn it. I understand that most people today are cheap and do not tip properly, but a gratuity should be a gratuity. If they do not make enough money that should be reflected in the original cost not a manditory gratuity, which is not a gratuity at all!

This was our first Norwegian cruise. We enjoyed the free style concept very much.

Overall, the cruise was good. It could have been greatly improved by better organization, more knowledgeable personnel, debarkation procedures to enhance order, better entertainment, eliminating charges once on board unless special services required them, less photography to avoid delays and congestion. At times, it appeared as if this was the first cruise ever experienced by the cruise personnel. However, outstanding were servers in dining rooms, scenery and selected tours, food, and calm seas!

The ship was well managed and the boarding and disembarkation system was very good.

This is my fifth cruise and I had previously cruised with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. I was really disappointed with the indifferent and laissez-faire service on this ship. Furthermore, the quality of some of the entertainment offerings was appallingly low. Nearly every thing was an extra charge - even to get a tour of the ship's galley. The buffet is about 50% smaller than most other ships because they converted the other space to specialty restaurants where they charge you extra fees. Overall, I would recommend trying any of the other cruise lines over Norwegian.

Too many people, many times we couldn't find a table to eat at the main divining area.

Excellent boarding experience, smooth and organized. Once on board and settling into cabin, had an issue with cabin cleanliness. Took my issue to Guest Services and they were courteous, professional and relentless in their pursuit of satisfying their guest. They addressed my issue and followed up; they were interested in my feedback and looked to be a most professional organization that wants to provide excellent service and experience for the guest. Ship very accommodating for guests as they return from excursions-cleanliness and have excellent meals ready at all hours. Ship was clean and crew displayed great attitudes and senior officers and crew were around the ship all the time; visible and accessible. Ship and crew were always around helping guests to maintain clean hands going into dining facilities. The freestyle philosophy was a bit chaotic in the main Garden Cafe; lots of children running around and people milling about. Other dining was ranged from a bit to a lot more formal; less chaos, for sure. On board entertainment was great and food was very good (variety, quality and presentation). Overall, a great cruise and I would highly recommend this ship and crew to anyone!

NCL was so organized from setting the departure date to disembarkment. The cruise director, the officers, the staff were friendly, helpful, caring, and listeners. The ship was immaculate. The entertainment awesome! Kids programs (all ages) great! Free-style dining and up scale dining excellent, ethnic, and a vast variety of foods. The ports-of-call and off-shore excursions were many, affordable, and memorable.

First and Best Cruise for both of us.

Lacking excitement

Very well maintained ship with a very helpful crew. Loved the freestyle dining without having to dress up. Lines at the Garden Cafe buffet were a bit overwhelming the first day and breakfast buffet seating at peak times was almost impossible without a scout to find a table and hold it while the others in our party foraged. Our cabin steward, Ricardo, was always attentive and helpful, as was everyone on the Pearl.

Overall I thought the cruise was good, but not much stood out as exceptional. Entertainment was fun but not thrilling. As a vegetarian, food selection was limited and felt repetitious by end of cruise.

Overall, it was a good cruise. I love the scenic view especially the Glacier Bay. I also like the Victoria's Butchart garden, although I don't think we had enough port time there. We are couple in our 30's with a toddler. I believe this cruise will definitely fit better with the older cruisers demographic.

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation on the Norwegian Pearl to Alaska. There were well-chosen great activities, shows and music for all ages throughout the day and evening. Great side trips were available but not necessary to keep busy with interesting diversions.

The Pearl is a wonderful ship very classy and a great crew.

The ship was very modernly equipped. But the best thing about the cruise was the service. From the moment we stepped foot onto the ship, we received excellent service from everyone in all facets of the ship. From the dining staff to our room steward, to the entertainers and guest services. I was amazed at how friendly and geniunely helpful everyone was. The food was in the buffet and main dinin was decent. But the steak house Cagney's was superb (for a small fee). All in all, Norweigan has set the standard for me and my future cruise endeavors. Happy Happy, Washy Washy! =)

The ship was spotless and in good condition throughout. People were constatnly making things perfect.

Ship was wonderful. So very nice.

Will not consider Norwegian line in the future, nor would i recommend the ship to friends or family.
