We will not cruise with this line again. The ship activities are a snooze fest. Port calls are unorganized. When Tampa port was closed due to fog the ship should have had a daily activity ready the moment guests woke up ready. Instead there was confusion and hours of people waiting in lobby's with their luggage. Really need better management concerning the cruise coordinating. Better communication throughout the cruise as well.

We've been on 17 cruises and by far this was the best. Would highly recommend this cruise.

I chose this cruise by the Ports that I have not seen yet. The price was good so I did some research of the ship and just winged it at the ports, all worked out well as it could possibly be. The ship is kept clean, as there are always crew members working around the ship wiping, vacuuming and shining. the cabin was small but livable for the 2 week cruise. Cabin steward was good at keeping us happy and there was always a towel animal at nights turn down. Dining was good at both main dining rooms and the buffet as well. I have no complaints of the service there. There is an abundance of musical entertainment thought-out the ship going everyday. The latin band, Avalon, was great, but were mostly in the Atrium where there is rug, so dancing was a laborious effort. We found that we could dance on the deck above, deck 8 in front of the O'Sheehans restaurant on a Vinyl floor with no trouble to anyone. There is a dance floor on deck 13 in the Spinnaker lounge where bands are rotated in daily, so that was a nice change from the rug in the Atrium. The productions shows in the Theater were all good, as well as guest entertainers and the crew productions. The crew on NCL are a happy crew, always greeting you and respectful. The ports were interesting, with shuttles to get out of the container area of the port in Columbia then easy walk or taxi to see the city. Most of the other ports like Colon, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Jamaica, you could walk in to town or catch a taxi right in port. I was never wowed on this cruise, I have been wowed before with NCL but not this time. It was good but not a "wow"! Have fun on your cruise!

A very relaxing and great cruise. Going through the Panama Canal was one of the highlights. Almost every body on board was on deck to experience this.

The Pearl is a lovely ship meticulously maintained. Our only slight disappointment was in some of the food offerings. La Cucina was absolutely not up to NCL's usual standards and we found most of the dishes in the main dining room were just too heavily spiced for those of us who prefer milder fare. My Thanksgiving turkey dinner was the worst meal I have had on any NCL ship. Cagney's, as usual, was fantastic.

Food is exceptional and the service. Easy in and out of the ports. Costa Maya Ana Cozumel are the best stops and good excursions.

Did not go to Belize city but to some fake cruise terminal in the middle of nowhere. Nice ship Great Canal experience . Ports of call were largely nothing.

this was a great trip the ship and crew were great and it was very relaxing.

Would definitely take this cruise again. Many or the ports were in places I have never visited before.

Pros--Staff was excellent, very friendly. Special kudos to the kind man in the Tides from Zimbabwe who always had a smile and I loved to talk to him, sorry I did not write down his name but should have. Canal Transit was excellent. Having a Narrator was an added plus. The souvenirs from Panama and the lady in Panamanian dress were very special to me. Peter the Piano Man was fun. He found our Halloween costumes very funny. Entertainment was good, especially the Duo Quintessance, Michelle Murlin, and Brenda Kaye the Hypnotist. Cons-- Food was not good. Did not care for new menus. Not hot usually lukewarm or cold, in both buffet and main dining rooms. Some of the breads and desserts were good. Only one elevator went to lower level of Summer Palace dining room. Cabin did not have a chair or sofa to sit. Overhead light had to be turned off at door, lights were dim. The TV was nice, but did not carry the World Series or any college football games. Reception was mediocre.

This trip left a bad feeling in regard to taking another cruise with Norwegian. The overcrowding resluting in injury, the constant sales hype, and the strange hours in ports made me feel it was all about money and the trip did not seem relaxing.

It was hard to ask questions after booking the cruise. The cruise lines were always telling us we had to go through our agent and vise versa. Toward the last days leading up to the cruise it was difficult to get any information. I enjoyed the cruise, but I was very upset about the availability of a person to speak with concerning questions.

Alaska was beautiful. Food on ship was not that good.

Pearl was just redone about a year ago. Beautiful decor and condition. Lot of variety in entertainment. Shows were fabulous. Good variety. Crew was exceptionally friendly, and cruise director was very funny and enthusiastic. We had a great, relaxing time! Would do it again. Definitely will look for this ship in itineraries.

the excursions were not up to snuff we paid good money to see whales and all we got to see was black spots a 1/2 a mile away and i was not happy and we didn't see any eagles or bears
