Service overall was very good except for Michael Luna at the service desk. A glum never smiling person who when asked about the $14.50 per person daily service charge never told us it was voluntary. Came back 2 days later and talked to another rep who explained it was voluntary and we didn’t have to pay it. We like to do our own tipping especially for room steward.

I think I agree with most people about added tips. There are so many people who work endless hours to ensure we have a great experience I am relieved they add them. We always leave extra money for room steward and any other staff who has been helpful.

All cruise lines add tips to daily rate that is shared with the staff that you don't see, like laundry, buffet staff, security, etc. We tip extra to our steward. Each has been wonderful on any of our 7 NCL cruises so far.
