Review summary

We are platinum on Princess, Celebrity etc and without changes/improvements would not sail with you again. Please call me if you require more feedback.Having to request special treatment to disembark early was foolish on your part. As a pediatrician, I understand the risk of Noravirus on a ship. If an officer had come to the waiting room where 2,000 passengers sat fro four hours in the heat and explained the safety needs, everyone would have understood and accepted the delay. As it was, it seemed like incompetence.

Embarkation

NO ONE to help with luggage, NO ONE to explain the six hour delay in sweltering heat. This gets zero stars

Smallest outside cabin ever. Fold-down bunk (unnecessary and not requested) made the cabin even smaller

The original brochure lists two days in Dublin. Our friends and I booked our own excursion for the second nonexistent day - we left port at one AM!!!- and lost our trip and money

London on our own - told one hour busride each way. Two and a half hours each way and re the driver, should NEVER expect less. Had lunch in London and got back on the bus with NO time to wander

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

Disembarkation

Told our luggage would not be offloaded until 9:00 when we had a flight at 10:40. Had to beg for luggage tags to allow us off in time and this was a break from usual policy. You disembark by class of stateroom or deck and not by time of departing flight. That is insulting and nuts

oh, and we were on that bus ride from hell (Tilbury/London) ..had only about 2 hours at Hyde Park where here is nothing but overgrown weeds in a park and a hotel at the drop off... AND.... How about the fact that the driver could have gotten us killed or hijacked taking us thru the slums and back streets of London n the way back... because he knew a short cut, he said !!! Unbelievable !! and when we got back to the ship girl at the tour desk wanted to get ugly with me... I wouldn't stand for it and she finally gave me a 20% discount on the tour... that didn't even cover the loss of the other tour/tickets I had purchased for things to see/do in London !

OMG.... what did you say that got you and family dumped off the ship !!! It is a terrible ship and we spend a miserable 14 days on her... the crew/ship personnel were just awful and obviously, they didn't get rid of whatever was plaguing everyone as my daughter and I , along with many many other passengers were sick by day 5 with terrible sinus, non stop coughing (dried blood) but thankfully, no stomach issues... guess that was because the food was so terrible, we made sure to eat primarily in the ports each day.

You were more fortunate than we were. We were on the Transatlantic crossing (just prior to your cruise) and NoroVirus was WIDESPREAD. The Captain said it was the worst he had ever seen. No updates. Many things closed. Many people including us confined to our cabin with key cards taken away. No officer would talk with me. After 96 hours of confinement I sent an email to Corporate CEO and next thing I knew we were kicked off the ship in Bruges, Belgium along with a very sick wife and there was only 1 day left until we arrived in Amsterdam. We were dumped in a city park not even in town! Pleaded for medical and financial assistance to get to Amsterdam but got a heavy handed NO! I felt like I was on Nazi Cruise Lines with the Chief of Security (Mr. MacDonald) acting like the Gestapo. I have been cruising for 40 years and never seen anything like this. Oh and by the way they banned both of us for life on any NCL, Oceana or Regent Cruise which they own. Hope there is a class action lawsuit for negligence. To this day they can't explain why my wife is involved however Guest Relations advised her the ban is permanent. No exceptions.

Was taking off your own luggage an option? We always wheel our own luggage to get off any time we want. If you asked to have assisted luggage to embark, I would assume you had a lot or mobility issues. Enjoy your future cruises.
