Review summary

My cruise was everything and more of what I hoped for! I will plan another soon! The crew, staff are unforgettable, the entertainment awesome. Food is exceptional! Very restful vacation.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation went smoothly after we figured out where we needed to take our luggage. We could have benefited by having an instruction sheet pre-boarding. The sandwich sign on the sidewalk was not sufficient because of the huge crowd of people arriving and departing. Once this was done, going through security and on boarding was smooth and flawless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I only ate at the complimentary dining restaurants. The food was fantastic! The variety astounding! I frequented the buffet for breakfast and lunch, then for dinner I went to the formal restaurants. I was able to stop at the buffet or outdoor grill for coffee, tea and snacks any time of day when I want to watch the water for whales, read my book or visit with people. The restaurant staff was friendly, courteous, humorous and perceptive of your needs. They gathered your plates promptly, quietly and with a smile.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I frequented the spa, fitness center, walking deck. The spa services were excellent, I am so glad I started my cruise vacation with a massage. I went to the fitness center almost everyday, up to date ellipticals, treadmills me weight circuit stations, I kept up with my regular fitness routine. There is a jogging track and a walking deck. I took advantage of the walking track on days at sea.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Performers: singer George Solomon, comedian K-van, acrobatic team Angels were fantastic! The NCL Singers and dancers were also fantastic. They made our evening entertainment so much fun and enjoyable.

Children's Programs

I did not bring children with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff performed their duties over and beyond what I expected. Better than any hotel I have been to. They were courteous, friendly, humorous and did their jobs with graciousness. I did not encounter any bad moods or behavior. The staff all tried to get to know me and even at 5 am where cheerfull and glad to see me. I know they have a long day, they were always awesome!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout was great except for having to figure out that to get to the Showstar Theater, Summer Palace and the Spinnaker Lounge you had to find the correct elevator tower or go one deck up then change elevator towers and go one down. The ship's common areas were clean and well-maintained. My companions liked the restrooms cleaning record on the walls of each restroom and the regularity that they were cleaned. Loved the crew that greeted and promoted sanitary hand cleaner before we entered the buffet. They were entertaining, humorous, cheerful and kind.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of closet and drawers to house your clothes. Good sized desk. Appreciated the room safe. The decor was classic but relaxing. Bathroom though small was very well detailed, good layout. My housekeeping steward did his job with excellence. Overall size of the room was great.

Ship tip

Be ready to relax and enjoy your time aboard.
