Review summary

my family and I thoroughly enjoyed this 7 night cruise to alaska on the norwegian pearl.  After our initial   surprise at finding out that the 4th person had to sleep on a small trundle bed between the 2 lower beds we got down to relaxing and really had a wonderful time. we simply lowered the trundle and put it at the end of one of the regular beds.  my husband and I took advantage of the spa package where (for $149) you had complete use of the spa facilities for the entire week, which included the pool, hot tubs, steam, sauna, and heated relaxation beds, as well as the cushioned chaise lounges with  a spectacular forward facing view of  where the ship was going. no kids allowed either.  such a well kept secret! we also had the ultimate dining package included in our cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed dining at a different place every night whenever we wanted to. we also loved the open air "great outdoors" at the back of the ship many times to eat, read and play games yet be outside as we travelled from place to place. the food at all of the restaurants as well as the main dining rooms was excellent and always served piping hot.  we highly recommend this cruise to all!

we have cruised with many different cruise lines with and without our kids and have always had hideaway bunks over the main beds but were very disappointed to see a trundle that was supposed to go between the 2 beds...very difficult to get out of bed at night...we had to get creative and rearrange the room.

Ship tip

every day we enjoyed an different soup for lunch and all were delicious. take advantage of the spa if you like peace and quiet and soaking in hot water!
