The staff were great, the ship was too small.

Sail Date: May 24, 2015

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship seemed to have been designed to fit the most people in the smallest space possible. The buffet was a madhouse with passengers trying to weave thru the chairs to find an open table. We chose the main dining room whenever possible and it was nice.  The Stardust Theater could not seat all the passengers assigned to that seating time. Some sat on the stairs and were a safety hazard.

The ports of call in Alaska and Canada were great. Glacier bay was beautiful and the  National Park Ranger did a good job explaining how and why the glaciers were retreating.

Ship Quality
Difficult to pass other guests in the hallways
Food and Dining
Main dining rooms were very nice, Skip the buffet.
Service and Staff
Stewards and waiters were very nice and helpful. The crew member who sang"Washy, Washy, Happy Happy at each meal was a delight.
The stage performances were very good, but the theater was cramped and detracted from the performance.
Onboard Activities
They had several Origami classes which were very nice, and a little different.
Destinations and Excursions
All of the shore tours we went on were excellent
Cabin / Stateroom
The balcony was great - we did some whale watching and also enjoyed viewing the Alaskan mountains
Seattle, Washington
Light Rail to Pike's Market
Juneau, Alaska
Mendenhall glacier was very nice,
Cruise Glacier Bay
Go out on deck, so you can see the glaciers. The ship does turn around in a circle so you can see the whole thing , but it is better outside.
Ketchikan, Alaska
The lumberjack show divided the audience into 2 camps so we could cheer our camp.
Victoria, British Columbia
Butchard Gardens are fantastic, even if you do not enter the gardens until almost 7pm.

If you are over 6 feet tall, avoid this ship.
