I've read a tip before about going to the Cucina restaurant if the Garden Cafe was closed - but please be aware that the cafe is pretty far away to walk with an arm full of food PLUS it wasn't always open for additional seating.

Tsar's Palace is very nice for open dining option versus the buffet at the Garden. The Garden was fine for family and breakfast and lunch.

There isn't a lot of storage in the rooms and it wasn't till the last day that we discovered that we could have stored our luggage under the bed if we had looked under the side of the bed instead of at the foot of the bed. We had the luggage in the closet and we could never get the doors to shut.

Use the Freestyle Daily to help plan your daily activities... Prepay and set up Excursions if possible as line can get long on board for those that didn't preplan.

If you don't find an empty table at the 12th Deck buffet, ask to join someone. You can meet some nice people that way. Wear comfortable shoes. It's a big ship and there is a lot of walking from one end to the other. Print out deck plans for decks 4 to 13 from the internet before you go.

Go to the main dinning area. Most others were on the Lido or specialty restaurants.

Really enjoyed dining at O' Sheehan's Pub and Grill. Best kept secret.

If you wish to dine in one of the main dining rooms go to Tzar in the back of the ship. It is much bigger and has great views of the back of the ship/water. Never had a waiting line like at Azura. They serve the exact same menu.

For example: If no tables at the garden cafe, walk to the Aft of deck 12 and take your food into Cucina. Was empty for the most part!

Upgrade your room from the inside cabin to a balcony and they throw in the Ultimate Beverage Package.... it's a great way to not have to worry about building up a bill drinking alcohol!

On NCL Jewel Deck 7 (only one side) is the key corridor from front to back of ship and visversa.

The accommodations were great. Windows that got dirty and spotted were regularly cleaned to our great delight and the warm water of the pool was wonderful.

Azura service is slow. Tsar has the same menu and faster service.

Very crowded buffet area so you may want to take your food outside near the pool. Beware that there is a smoking area on part of the deck area.

Loved the Garden Cafe Buffet! If I had to say one negative it would be that Garden Cafe was not open 24 hours. Only restaurant open 24(other than room service which had very limited menu) was Osheenans(English style Pub) which also had limited menu.

Sometimes it can be confusing as to what direction is the front (bow) of the ship. All you have to do is look at the fish pattern on the floor. The fish are always swimming towards the front (bow) of the ship! Very helpful!
