Review summary

NCL ships are always well maintained and the crews are always fantastic. The Jewel is a small ship and they have had the misfortune of having to put a lot of venues in a small space, which makes the ship layout a little clumsy. Other than than, a great trip.

The ship is clean and well-maintained. Since it is a smaller ship, it's difficult to navigate as you are not always able to reach a space on the ship without navigating an up or down detour to get to your destination. This was the first NCL ship I've been on that did not have indicators on the floor for the front of the ship and, given that you had to navigate different decks to get to some destinations, it made it confusing at times.

Cabin / Stateroom

It is the typical small cruise ship cabin. Well appointed and maintained. Always kept tidy and clean by the steward.

Ship tip

Don't expect any of the locations on the ship to be anything but on the small size. Most public areas are shared with other venues. For example, the bars that have seperate locations on other ships such as Maltings, the Champagne Bar, and the Martini Bar, all share one space that is not very big.
