Alaska is a must-see cruise and this one-way allows you to spend more time at each area and enjoy the beauty more.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Just a little confusing getting onboard, but after that process, it is 'smooth saling'

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Highly impressed with the food. Head chef was from India and there were Indian Buffet quality dishes every day as well as fresh fish, steak, and a variety of other choices.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities were the least impressive, but they were enjoyable to a point.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The nightly entertainment (singing, dancing) as well as the superb aerialist/acrobatics were top-notch. We only with the theater could've been used to show a couple of newly released movies in the early afternoon.

Children's Programs

Had no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waitstaff were always excellent. In the Garden Cafe, Albireo Danesia went out of his way every time we were there. During the open-ocean portion my wife was a little nauseous (even with the patch) and he went in the back (twice) to cut up green apples, which is what they use to help. He also went in the back to find a gluten-free muffin on our first day, which sparked the dialogue with him.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always clean

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Actually, we upgraded to a balcony. Always clean.

Ship tip

Avoid the casino - a smoke fest

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
We left from this port.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5
Awesome - except the fog/cloudiness, but that happens an not the result of NCL.

Ketchikan, Alaska

3 out of 5
This port was basically gift shops that all sold the same things at the same prices.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
This was the best port and excursions.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

1 out of 5
Weather prevented us from seeing this glacier, so the ship never entered the bay.

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

5 out of 5
We did the Kenai Fjords excursion afterwards. Totally awesome, but would STRONGLY encourage EVERYONE to use motion sickness aids.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy.
