Review summary
This was the second cruise we took with NCL. The service by the staff was really poor, the food was under cooked and cold on some occasions. The tables were left dirty and you had to pick up someone else's dirty dishes just to find a table... and not due to too many people eating, dining area was almost empty. If you happen to ask for ice-cream, the server was extremely rude. Your best bet is to dine in one of the restaurants. Andrew, the shore shopping expert, really pushes you to shop and spend money. He receives a commission from the sales at stores he recommends. One day he was really upset because he took count on how many people boarded ship early and were eating and he said we should of stayed shopping until it was time to come on-board instead of coming in early just to eat. Very rude. This cruise was all about them making money.
Alaska was very beautiful and a cruise is a wonderful way to enjoy the different ports, but sail on another cruise line. We have sailed twice on Carnival and have had a wonderful experience. Pay the extra $100.00 and enjoy both the ports and your ship experience
