Review summary
This was our first cruise for our 40th Anniversary. Sleeping quarters were very nice, clean and very good steward. Bathroom pretty compact, might be a problem for larger person to get around in. Plenty of storage area, fully able to unpack everything, and bags can be sent down to storage if you don't have room in your closet. Meals were good and you could ask for items that weren't part of the menu item you selected (I was able to add bacon to french toast, etc.). Would like to have seen a bit more fresh vegetables. Passengers didn't seem to pay attention to the dress codes suggested for T'sar's and the Azure dining rooms, as we saw everything from bib coveralls to dress coats and gowns sitting next to each other. Was disappointed that you couldn't get snacks after about 10:30 as all the dining areas, even the buffett were closed and there only 3 types of pizza available for late night. Dining service for breakfast on day we returned to port was slow. Got the feeling the normal staff wasn't on duty and they were training new people. The arrival and departure from all ports were pretty much dead on schedule. Onboard activities were plentiful and varied. The excursion to the Gardens in Victoria was well worth the cost. They and beautiful and the bus driver did an excellent job of pointing out places of interest to and from the boat, taking us on different routes thru town. Even with all the food, I think I lost weight with all the walking around the ship and shore excursions. The nightly theater shows were great, and I would not want to play poker with the magician.
