This was my third cruise with Norwegian, first time on the Jade though, but best ship Ive been on so far! The stateroom was bigger than any Ive seen before. Very comfortable and place for everything. We were welcomed with a bottle of chilled wine, giant chocolate covered strawberries, and a luxurious bathrobe courtesy of ! Thank you! We felt like royalty when we arrived in our stateroom and for the entire 12 day cruise. The ship has every amenity you could possibly want and the largest duty free store Ive ever seen! The shows were great even when we were experiencing some pretty rough seas and it was very dangerous the acrobats said the show must go on and they gave us an excellent performance! The Eastern Mediterranean was everything Ive ever wanted to see. It was a dream come true to ride a camel in front of the pyramids in Egypt! I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasnt dreaming! We spent two days taking in the sights in Caro where we had the best, most knowledgeable guide ever and she stayed with us the whole two days! We stayed in a 5 star hotel (I would gladly give it 10 stars!) right below the pyramids! It was beautiful. We had a couple of delays, one in Greece and the other in Egypt due to the officials clearing our ship taking longer than normal, but our guides for our excursions made sure we saw everything we were suppose to see and then some! I would recommend booking excursions through they are much cheaper and much more personalized! On our Caro trip for 2 days there were only 5 of us so we were able to do more and learn more. I could go on forever about what an awesome this cruise was, but instead Ill just recommend you experience it for yourself. Bon Voyage!

Good Ship , not very big but very pretty , a lot of activities on board that suit any kinds of people , the entreteining was great , the musicians on board were the best.You can have excelent time hearing to them. The nigth activities at the Spinnakers Louge were great to , very fun. The food was just ok. very recomendable for young or old people you would have a lot of fun.

It's a good size ship. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean ship. Didn't like the stench of cigarrette smell in the casino and while walking through some cabin halls. Food was not that great.

The smoking was impossible for me and I had to be on benadryl except when off the ship. This meant headaches, weepy eyes and sinuses. Could not walk my daily miles because of smokers; could not read quietly because of noise; even the library was somewhere that people went to chat quietly OR crowded with people noisily signing up for something or other. Spa was excellent -- but had to pay $20 for a quiet place. Cabin staff best -- most helpful and kept things very clean. Had to use cafeteria because of smoking on dining room floor so it was pretty noisy. Children's activities seemed great -- would have taken twin grandsons on this very tour except can't handle smoking. Staff not very helpful about off shore information. Library very limited selection and books are locked away except for a few hours a day.

Nice ship with Hawaiian decoration. Very professional staff, clean, excellent service, new show every day including comedy, Flamenco, Broadway and Opera.

The ship was great and our mini suite was perfect. Food was fair. Ports of Call were great! Did the overnight to Cairo. Wonderful! Coming into Malta's harbour was the most beautiful we have ever seen.

After a previous cruise with NCL Dream in 2007 Dec , when we encountered a clash with another liner and a narrow escape, 2009 NCL Jade was relaxing and wonderful. The staff was courteous and the amenities were great.

A great cruise experience by A Cruiser from San Francisco Destination: Greece-Egypt-Turkey Sailing date: 2009-10-21 Pros:Stateroom size is excellant (full view window was not available) Cons:Specialty restatrant reservations were hard to get Ship facilities excellent; staff very friendly; information available was generally very good. All instructions were clear. Shore excursions were relatively expensive, but services were good. Food menu was very good and varied. Excellent tendering (ship-to-shore) service. Excellent Stardust auditorium. Some of the shows are good.

I traveled as a single and found that the NCL Jade staff made little effort to engage its single passengers. Mostly, I chatted with couples I met while dining. I met a few single people on the ship, but not during organized singles activities. The ship was newish and clean, but the Hawaiian decor was jarring on a cruise to Norway. I had my cabin made up into one large bed which was very confortable. The food was varied and ample but average in quality. (I never ate in specialty restaurants, where it might have been better.) The service was adequate, put not particularly attentive or friendly. Most often the ship felt overcrowded and noisy. A babble of voices in many languages and piped in music was everywhere. Maybe some cruisers enjoy such an atmosphere, but I do not. I rarely found a quiet spot to read or use my laptop. I limited use of the ship's wifi, did not drink alcohol, and chose excusions carefully, because costs were much higher than I expected.

Warning: Please note that tours on this boat are aproxmently 30% more than comparible tours on Royal Caribean. This can quickly offset any savings you get on the cabin. In my case it would have been more than 1,000. I am positive RCL is making a reasonable profit on their tours

It was clean with excellent services

We had a wonderful cruise with calm sailing in the Mediterranean. Service was excellent - everybody was helpful and friendly. Wide variety in the free dining areas and not long queues. Free drinks could have been more varied - not just iced tea. Ports of call and excursions were very good - maybe could leave out Egypt, as the travelling time to Cairo was so long and Egypt was disgustingly dirty and a health hazard! Could have had theme music for the different ports of call or theme dinners eg Greek food and music in Greece. Enterntainment fair, but sometimes very loud. Crew show excellent! All in all had a very special holiday for our 40th wedding anniversary. They went out of their way to make us feel very special. Can recommend this ship and ports of call (Istanbul and Greek Islands)

Despite the ongoing installation of a casino, all was near perfect on this transoceanic, repositioning cruise. The ship was refitted from being an Hawaiian cruise ship to a Med and Florida one. New crew could not have been nicer.

I don't recommend this cruise line to anyone who enjoys good service. My husband and I are cruisers. We are in our 40's. This cruise was horrible. I refuse to go on another ncl cruise. The staff was miserable. the food tasteless. We ended up eating at the buffet and Japanese Restaurant, they had the best food. I have traveled many time om NCl prior to them becoming freestyle, they were my favorite. They need to take some pointers from Oceania....they know how to freestyle cruise.

I was very impressed with the ship and the cleanliness. We felt very pampered and relaxed with no worries!

We just arrived back from the 12-day Mediterranean cruise from Istanbul, Turkey to Barcelona, Spain and I was very pleased with the overall experience. The port stops and excursions in Turkey, Greece, Croatia, and Italy were all so enjoyable and beautiful to see; I loved the colorful Hawaiian dcor of the ship; and from the very beginning the staff went out of their was to treat us kindly and with respect.

This was my 15th cruise, and it was the worst food service that I have ever experienced. This is not your so-called Free-Style Dining that you advertise, when we had to wait over 55 minutes to be seated when there were several tables available. We also were not allowed to eat with 8 people even thought there were 4 empty table set up for 8 people that were not occupied the entire time. This waiting and seating problems happened several times. The service in the dining area was also very slow.

Most of the crew on this ship were new so a few problems occurred but nothing major. Just a lack of experience for some staff members. Service in the dining room was very slow but waiters were extremely pleasant. The shows need improvement. The talent was there. It was just the content that needs help. We had a mini suite which was more than suitable. Loved the balcony. Not sure this ship is very handicap friendly as there are a lot of stairs.

This is our 8th NCL cruiseand we ave cruised over 18x-All have been amazing and NCL has ships in great shape. We were on the Los Angeles to Miami-"Maiden Voyage" The ship did in no way look like the pictures. They just painted over the original name. It was run down and nothing like any other NCL ship we had ever sailed. The maiden voyage was a misleading term. We as well as 4 other cabin(balcony & suites) had bed bugs and over 4 couples had to be medically treated w/bites all over. They told us prior to booking that in Hawaii they do not allow casinos...but, that the ship would have a full casino by the time it would reach L.A...The entertainment was the worst we have ever seen on any cruise line...Therefore we opted to check out the casino....10 slot machines and 3 tables...No raffle for free cruises as in other NCL ships...NOTHING!!!! The restaurants-additional cost. Were great as always except by the 4th day Cagneys' the steak house ran out of most of the steaks. The wine list-well they also basically ran out of the better wines. The locations we stopped at were the reason we picked this cruise and they were very nice. I am still waiting to be reimbursed for all the medical bills due to the lice infestation on board. They misled us at the begining stating that we were the only ones with bites. The doctor was treating 3 other people when we got to her office on the ship. Then finally they said they had just taken over the ship and it seemed that there was in fact a problem. I am very sad about this situation as in the past I've always had a great experience w/NCL. I hope they get this ship in shape.

The crew was rude especially after hours when the staff was roaming the ship and felt like they should be waited on first before passengers Our suite was not cleaned until after 3:30 PM - shouldn't they get first attention
