Norwegian Jade

11 Night Greek Isles & Italy (Rome Roundtrip)

Sail date: July 21, 2019

Ship: Norwegian Jade

Cabin type: Suite

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Review summary

Although our cabin was not acceptable and we did eventually get moved, the problems on the Jade were numerous. Guest Services didn’t address things as they should and calls that should have been returned never were. This trip required me, the customer, to do more work to make things better for our trip. With that being said, we did have exceptional service from our stewards, waiters, waitresses, bartenders and others. We recognized 3-4 of these people before leaving the ship. Our excursions were fabulous, well executed and communication before, during and at the end point we spot on!

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was right below a restaurant that cleaned at 4 a.m to 6 a.m. the noise also kept us up at 11 p.m. The dropping of boxes on the floor, chairs and tables being pulled across the floor made sleeping impossible . I actually jumped out of bed twice when they dropped things as I thought the ceiling was going to collapse . In addition, at times it felt like our bed was shaking/ moving from the sway of the boat. This cabin was our worst nightmare.

Ship tip

To get on a larger ship that doesn’t have as much “rock and roll” swaying and no noise from upper floors!

The line was so long to get on the lift up to the city that we turned around and headed right back to the boat. Actually, we couldn’t even find the end of the line. That’s how long it was.
