The cruise was very good. Dining was excellent, shore excursions were interesting, there wasn't a lot of onboard activities for over 60 and the shows were good, but repeated throughout the week.

We had a good time on the ship lots of activities around the ship for all age to do, ship new, clean, and well maintained, dinning was excellent specially restaurants were wonderful had a good time at Teppenyaki and we had a good time with the shore excursions would recommend this ship to everyone.

Ship design is poor. A lot of there entertainment is done at the Atrium and the noise carry up to the next floor and was very annoying when trying to eat or warch a game at the bar.

The ship the gambler centric, casino is open instead of close. You can smell smoking everywhere near the atrium....

Food is so so, show is ok. Service is not good

This ship was built to make money and not to serve the customers.  Here are the reasons:

1.  Only one decent sized pool on the ship that is available without having to pay to  belong to The Haven.

2.  No solarium where one can have access to a pool that is covered without cost.

3.  Medical services are not free.  I have never encountered this on any other cruise line.

4.  Access to several ports were limited due to the length of the dock from the ship to the town.

5.  Food was mediocre

6.  No robes provided in staterooms as on some ships

7.  No other ship requires reservations to see shows.   That is an extra burden on the customer.

8.  Having to use the key card to turn on the electricity in the rooms is ridiculous, especially as there were no obvious instructions that one needed to do that.

9.  Not being able to purchase normal size bottles of water was also not a service.  Who wants to carry that large bottle around all day?

10.  I have never been on a ship that didn't have access at any time to the soft ice cream server.  Having a person there to do this was not for the customer.  It was obvious it was to limit how much a person took.

11.  Having bow and stern elevators was also inconvenient.  Most other ships also have elevators midship and have glass panels that allow one to look out once inside.  These are not built for people with claustrophobia. 

12.  No other ship requires customers to give their room number and show key card to get towels for the pools, let alone charge a fee if they are not returned where they were handed out.

I love the entertainment on the ship. There are a variety of really great shows you can go to. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Dinner service is usually very slow. This was my 4th Norwegian cruise, I would go back to Norwegian but I would not book it through . Every time we have booked through , certain deals were promised to us and we were not able to receive them. Also, if you book with , then make future cruise deposits while on the ship, your future bookings will have to be done with . Unfortunately this happened to us. When we went through Norwegian we had no issues with out bookings.

Yes, I will. I like the freestyle way. I enjoy the activities and show plus your music (bands) on board were fantastic. And your food in the Japanese restaurant is so good.

The room steward was amazing. This is a trip that I plan on taking again and again. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Make sure to get the dining and drink package. It will save you a ton of money.

Yes, I would definitely recommend this cruise to my friends and family.  My favorite park is just the whole experience, all 7 days were full of fun activities and great food.

We were treated so special by so many wonderful people during the planning and actual cruise process!  This was one of my best cruises to date, and there have been 4 previous ones:)

Specialty dining was great. The Haven was a real treat (with your own private butler), Ship was clean and well-run. Food was good and well prepared. Bowling alley, mini-golf, ropes course, water slides and much, much more. High tech navigation on the ship with touch screens for what is happening and locations on the ship.

I absolutely recommended. The best was the latin party. And my son loved the day care is a good option and safe when adult want to get late in the activities

Favorite: Getting off the boat.

Improvement: Customer Service

Recommendation:  Pick a different Cruise Line 

We both have medical conditions that dictate caffeine free, sugar free beverages.  The only soda available caffeine free on the boat is a no name lemon-lime all the other sugar free pop had caffeine.  We brought our own so we wouldn't have to drink water for the entire cruise.  BTW ice tea has caffeine and lemonade is loaded with sugar.

We found a form letter at our door after dinner, "report to customer service so that they could confiscate the contraband in our LOCKED suitcases.  After we reported to CS and discussions with 3 staff members we were told to leave the contraband for further review.  About 10pm there was a knock on our door and the sodas were returned without comment. 

Great way to start a cruise.  We are 3 points from platinum and I'm not sure we will attain that status.  

NCL service has been on a steady decline for the last year.

Smokers we met on board were the most friendly people. Got to know them and shared our daily experiences while in the closed quarters called 'designated smoking area'. Lots of activities on the pool deck during the day. Shows were good. Not used to paying to see shows on a cruise ship.

passion island excursion, needs to be longer than 3 hours. We didn't want to leave!!! More Honey Creme Brulee... It was only offered once and it was divine!!!!! More Trivia, there seemed to be too many things conflicting with other things and we missed a lot of games. Add more songs to the Karaoke choices... we tried many times, but often left because the choices were not great.  One day spa pass was amazing... I love this option. Ernest, our wine steward was amazing. Bartender Rene and Overall Restaurant guy Alvin were also a joy to communicate with. Silas, was so much fun along with all the cruise director staff ( the short british girl was always so friendly). 

The staff is tremendous! Not once did we have an issue with the crew or the ship. I did however have a big issue with premium charges on menus in free dining rooms and specialty restaurants. It's getting pretty upsetting to see NCL give me the nickle and dime feeling. They also need to get into the times and update the app it's pretty horrible. The overall experience for the week was very positive and hope that our next NCL cruise the extra charges will have disappeared.

As a very experienced longtime cruiser, I realize the many changes that have occurred over the Years including no midnight buffets, specialty restaurants, and charges for previously included percks. Even with all these in mind, I was still even further shocked to being charged over $600/ person for a 7 day cruise for alcoholic drink package and forced to buy 1 for each one in my 4 person room although one person was wheelchair bound liver transplant patient who obviously is prohibited from drinking, and a second only drinks beer. There was a well advertised promotion for cruises booked from Sept- Oct 2nd which included 2 free package options when a balcony was booked, but when we went to claim it, were told our room had a discounted rate and therefor did not qualify. I understand small print, but this is total false advertising. When forced to rent a wheelchair, was charged $145 for the week, and then when required an electric scooter due to space constraints which totally would have made our stay unbearable since it didn't fit in hallways with cleaning carts always present, the cost of it went up to $275. All in all a very bad experience.

Overall we loved the ship, the entertainment, the food, the on board pools, rope challenge, etc. The staff was excellent and friendly. Some minor changes I would recommend. I think there was too many "pay extra" dining options. I never really noticed these restaurants being used to the full advantage. The food was excellent in the "included" dining (with 3 options already) so there was no reason to go pay extra for other options. Use that space for other things and maybe have 1 option for "private" dining. Also I wasn't impressed with the photographers. I wanted a family portrait, which I have planned on all cruises we have been on. The photos showed too much background or weren't centered or something.

Everything went smoothly from boarding to embarking  Food was excellent ship was clean and staff was friendly and upbeat  No complaints . Would like to have had more pool space but it was not a big deal.
