This was a trip of a lifetime, one I will never forget. It was not perfect by any means but we CHOSE to have a great time and brush off any fuss.

It went fine enough for us. One of those things you expect to wait around a bit for, no big deal though.

Food and Dining

Overall I’d say mostly hit and just a little miss, But definitely more hits than miss. The thing I appreciate about the buffet is that even if there are some options that are a miss you’ve still got plenty of options to find something you do like. The two specialty restaurants we went to were fantastic!! We definitely didn’t go hungry or lack in any way.

Hands down the best food I had on the cruise. From the bread and butter to the dessert, this to me was soooooooooooooo good!!! I can’t say enough good things about how perfect the food was.

This was the one place I was super dissatisfied with. The food quality, in my opinion, was just really lacking.
Onboard Activities

We didn’t do a whole lot of things around the ship.
Entertainment

The one show we went to was million dollar quartet I believe the name was and it was sooooooo good. Even if you don’t like that kind of music. We felt like the the whole show was a lot of fun.
Service and Staff

The Haven staff on the Getaway were probably some of the nicest, most professional, most personable people I have ever met in any form of hospitality. In my opinion they made our incredible trip that much more special. Considering all of the people they have on and off the ship from week to week, the fact that they remembered our names, preferences, just ANYTHING about us really seemed so special. In the haven dinning room (once they found our my husband was vegetarian) made special orders for him and went out of their way to make sure he had some delicious options every time we were there. (Shoutout to Neli) the bartenders were able to remember our drinks but what I appreciated even more was when I didn’t know what I wanted, all you have to do is tell them one or two things you want and they’ve got you covered. (Shoutout to Predrag and Rodrigo) the wait staff were the best. Honestly, the staff and crew were some of the best part. And it was NOT just the crew in the Haven, not by a mile. In ten days and being all over that ship we didn’t experience anything other than kindness, helpfulness, and care. We were so incredibly well taken care of by EVERYONE in ALL PARTS of the boat.
Ship Quality

I can’t say a whole lot about the overall ship layout. What I do have a very strong opinion about is, and probably the biggest negative around the whole cruise, is the atrium. They host almost all trivia and other activities in the atrium but it’s so small, not enough seating, it’s hot from the lights, and stinks like cigarettes from being so dang close to the casino, that it’s miserable and fussy to be in. Why this area is so small or why they seem to only do activities there is beyond me.
Cabin / Stateroom

Oui…..! This room was everything! It was large (split rooms, two bathrooms!) the bed was comfortable the main bathroom was fabulous.
We went to Magens bay and did some shopping here. The overall experience was fabulous. The beach was GORGEOUS!! The shopping was just a tad irritating because they tell you you are coming back for a VIP party to end up at….. diamonds international 🙄. BUT you can get some champagne out of it and the little shopping center is cute with a restaurant that had some very yummy food. The locals were very nice though and our bus driver was a doll.
I gave this 5 stars because we did the coolest excursion I’ve ever done in my life. We did the waterfall excursion here and it was the funnest! The area is beautiful the guides were fantastic and encouraging and we’d do this excursion again in a heartbeat.
We opted not to do an excursion here and honestly I kind of regret it. The water was beautiful and even from the dock we saw some beautiful fish, so I can only imagine what an excursion would have offered. We did walk around the port and it was really lovely. We stopped and ate at the frog and onion and YUM! IT was really yummy.
We did not do an excursion here. We did get off the boat and went to the port and took the ferry across the way. I’ll say this is my second time here and not my favorite stop. Of all the stops the shop vendors here are a little more aggressive as far as standing in front of their stores trying to get you inside.
For us it was easy peasy. We were up early that day anyway just knowing we had to get off but once it was around the time we had to get out of our room and down stairs we didn’t wait long at all.
