Review summary

It was great to be back at sea. The NCL staff made us very welcome on board, boarding was a disaster. Food and entertainment was up to snuff but excursions were a disappointment.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
NCL was constantly sending information and safety videos to watch. But when I arrived at embarkation they asked for my Arrive Canada form - something that I had never heard of and they had never mentioned. It was a form which had to be filled out on line. There was insufficient wifi for hundreds of people all trying to complete the forms on their phones at the dock. None of the personnel there had any idea of the information which was needed. A very few people had completed the forms before arrival. They had read about them on a Facebook site - but no information came from NCL! I am quite computer literate but it still took me almost 2 hours to get all the information which was needed. NCL really blew it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent as usual

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The ship was only a little over half full so some of the times were restricted on activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Most musicals were excellent. The comedians, jugglers, and acrobats were mediocre.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
NCL has the best trained staff.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Cleanliness was fantastic. I was in the Haven and the courtyard with pool and hot tubs was not enclosed or covered and therefore useless during the whole cruise due to weather.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I upgraded to an Haven owner's suite #16700. It was one of the best suites I have cruised in.

Ship tip

If you choose the ship for the Haven it is not as nice as the Joy, Bliss, Escape, etc. Diningroom is smaller and no outdoor dining.

ArriveCan app is required to enter Canada by air, land or sea. This travel regulation came up during covid pandemic but sofar, still required for everybody including Canadians.

Glad you were doing able to get the form filled out. Sorry it fell through the cracks. Glad you enjoyed your cruise after that! Appreciate your feedback.

My TA has sent me several reminders on ArriveCanada and so has Holland. Using one of the phone agents from World Travel Holdings is an iffy thing if you do not know what to do.
