Overall a good and very busy cruise. A 9 day cruise with only 2 sea days. It was tiring to be in so many different places so quickly and with so many different currencies. But we enjoyed it. The one thing that shocked me about the ship itself is that Norwegian Getaway allows smoking in their casino which is a huge turn off for nonsmokers. The odor would sometimes carry to other venues on the same floor as the casino.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
food was varied and plentiful. quality was hit or miss. O'Sheehan's was consistently good. We paid for the Cirque Dreams, which was good, but not sure I would do it again for the price.
The Tropicana Room (Main Dining Room)
4 out of 5
Ate here for dinner most of the time. There was nightly entertainment to watch while you ate your dinner
O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar and Grille
5 out of 5
Excellent pub style food. We regularly ate there for lunch and dinner, or a snack. They are open 24/7 but we did not try their breakfasts.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
a good variety of activities. Mini golf and the ropes course were fun for all ages
Entertainment
4 out of 5
A good variety of entertainment. Syd's Pour House had some talented singers and was a lot of fun. Shows were good, especially the million dollar quartet.
Children's Programs
did not travel with children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Overall good. Cabin was always kept clean by our friendly room steward. Waiters were good overall, some better than others. Had an issue with a shore excursion staff member and my complaint was handled professionally by management staff.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Overall, good. the buffet could improve by having circular food stations that some other ships have. Long narrow serving areas led to congestion at peak times. This ship doesn't have a poolside grill which would be nice.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very good. We had a mini suite and the bathroom was huge (for a cruise cabin). Large shower with different jets and 2 sinks. Balcony is very tiny, had to angle chairs to fit when we sat down.
Ship tip
Book as much of the free entertainment you can before you board. Some popular shows were "sold out"
Very easy to navigate. Bought a day pass and went to Rostock and explored there as well. We chose not to go to Berlin and we are glad. It was nice to have a relaxing, wandering kind of day.
This port is about 1 hour away from Stockholm. We purchased transfers to Stockholm through the cruise line. Once in Stockholm we did a free walking tour which was really good. We had plenty of time after for lunch and some wandering before returning to the ship.
I’ve noticed a lot of the bigger ships are designing their casinos the same as the getaway. We were on a msc and it was the same as well. A family member said the one royal Caribbean she went on was set up as well. Seems to be only the new big ships. Now the older ones like royal’s grandeur of the seas wasn’t like that. It was basically contained to one area.
