Review summary

Would definitely sail on the Getaway again. It was a large ship, but it never felt like there was 4,000 people on it. My only disappointment was Cagney's, a specialty dining option, as the steaks prepared weren't as good as the steaks offered at the buffet, or the main dining options.

Our room steward was exceptional! Generally, when we went out for drink, or dining, the attendants were all friendly. However, it wasn't as personable as the previous cruises we've been on.

Took a cab to Magden's Bay, $8 each way, per person. There is admission to the park of $5/pp. Also, there is food and drink available and they do take credit card. Beautiful, but it does get a little crowded. However, as you go further from the restaurant, you have a little piece of the beach to yourself!

We rented a vehicle and explored all parts of the island. We met some locals on our adventure and they guided us to the beaches and towns less traveled.

Nassau, Bahamas

Having been to Nassau on a previous cruise, we did not do an excursion. We opted to stay close to the ship and explored the shops, restaurants and the beach nearby. It was nice, but wish I would have done a little more research and booked an excursion.
