The itinerary was changed at the last minute because of over crowding in Cozumel. Cozumel and Costa Maya days were switched. It turned out to be nice because it rained in Costa Maya the day we were originally scheduled to be there.
Make sure you go to O'Sheehans and have a cheesecake brownie. They are amazing.
We are gold members going on Platinum at the end of this cruise. The ship was out of lapel pins so I had to go onto Ebay and purchase a used one after getting off the ship. It was disappointing to hear that they have been out for 3 months. If something is standard on all ships then it should be available on this one too. They will not send you one in the mail if they get them in. You must be on the ship in order to get it.
We usually get VIP priority check in but was told they only allow Platinum to check in under VIP. It was the first time we had not checked in as a VIP. They said it was because the ship was so big. That was lame because the Breakaway is the same size and we had VIP checkin there from NYC. I think it is the Miami port.
We expected fireworks as well since we had them on the Breakaway and they were advertised. We were told they have not had them in 3 months either. Very disappointing.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
the food was ok. The buffet was good at first but every day was the same so we ended up in the main dinning room. Shorts and tshirts were accepted without any issues unlike most cruises
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The water slides, high ropes course, zipline and mini golf were all very fun. the only problem was the plank camera was not working most of the time. When sailing they closed it because of the wind
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The comedy show was good. We did not go to the main shows because they didn't interest us.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
The teens went on a behind the seen tour and when to the very front of the ship and went to the crew hang out area
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was great. Our steward made a towel animal the first day for us

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a family oceanview. The cabin was very big and included a bath tub. There was a divider between the main bed and the couch/bed. The couch bed was very thick and comfortable unlike other ships. There was a bunk bed that came out of the ceiling for those that needed an extra bed. The room we were in slept 5 people.
Ship tip
Make sure you go to O'Sheehans and have a cheesecake brownie. They are amazing.
If you pack a noise maker that has a cord make sure the cord is removed and in a separate place. Security took ours and we had to wait in line at the purser's desk to get it back. Do not bring an iron.
Major Tom has a great cave tubing and zipline tour. Check him out on the web. If getting your hair braided make sure they charge you what they said it cost. We were told $2 a braid. My daughter wanted a total of 6 braids and the person put in 8 braids and charged me $3 a braid.
we heard the dune buggies were amazing. My husbands back was sore so we did the ruins, beach and island tour. It was not that good. We only had an hour at the ruins and 90 minutes at the beach. We were very rushed.
