A very enjoyable cruise, the food was good. the staff was great!

The ship was huge and fantastic. The people who worked there were all very nice and amazingly great. The entertainment was phenomenal and the food was amazing and I ordered multiple starters, entrees, and desserts every night!

Amazing! This cruise line is the best with services in entertainment, food and room. For sure, want to take the same cruise again.

The ship was a pretty ship. Lots of food. Nice pools with a fun slide.

We had a very nice trip with NCL. I was surprise when i read about people that didn't like this cruise! Everyone on the ship try his best to make everyone happy happy and smily smily!

Fantastic trip. With a cold start out of NYC it was nice to enjoy a quiet restful sea day. The air temperature didn't warm up to enjoy the outside until after 2 on Sunday. The ship had plenty to do and entertainment for us and the kids. The entertainment staff was fantastic!! The food was wonderful although the buffet was a little too crazy for my taste, I really enjoyed all of the sit down restaurants. Not one bad meal. The ship was easy to get around, once we got our bearing. We were on the 9th level in the front (a little bumpy coming home) but it was easy to get to the main activity levels on 6 and 7 as well as 11 to 13. Our steward was amazing!!! The room was impressive since we were sleeping 4 in one balcony suite. My daughter loved that her bed came out of the ceiling to form a bunk over her brother who was on the pull out sofa.

The ship was fun has nice lounges and bars and a nice pool deck area. The crew was so friendly and fun!

the ship needs a serious makeover. Its very dark and gloomy. Even though it was build recently, it looks like a 20 year old ship. Everything is brown. Need more bright colors, more glamore. The private island is also having construction and there were no were to get chairs. Had pay for everything on the ship, Wii, Bowling, restaurants, charged for trips 3x more (did the same trips for a lot less).

Having bed bugs was awful. The fact that they tried so hard to cover it up even with all the evidence of the bites was pathetic. The food wasn't great and ship quite tacky. I would not repeat this cruise line again. You will feel nickel and dimed for everything.

The ship was very nice and decorated beautifully. There were plenty of comfortable places to go to read or relax throughout the day and night.

The Cruiuse was excellent. It allowed us to "get away" and experience a relaxing and friendly environemnt, where we met people and were cared for very well by staff.

This was just our second cruise. The first being on the Carnival Triumph. NCL GEM was far superior. We are just an average Joe and Jane and not used to or comfortable in "fancy" settings or formal dining situations. The NCL GEM appears to be just that in its appearance and service BUT is surprisingly user friendly. We loved the freestyle dining experience because we were NOT looking for gourmet food or fancy dress up restaurants. All of those things are available but for us the variety of options open to us for free as part of the cruise was excellent. The entertainment was great.

We had a wonderful 7 day cruise to the Bahamas. The weather was beautiful throughout the week. The ship was well run. Everything was extremely well organized from entertainment, food to housekeeping. The staff was courteous and friendly. There were plenty of choices for food. We especially enjoy the private island Stirrup Cay. The water was a bit cold given the time of the year but just being on the beach was really nice.

Overall impression HIGHLY favorable. As a family of four, we had a great time. Unlike some cruises, we did more things together (mostly because the teen program was not promoted properly), but I find positives in this, even though my son was bored during the sea days (see detailed comment below).

My overall impression of the "Gem" is good. This is my second time cruising on the Gem. The ship is very new and has its full amenities and facilities. The dining options are wonderful and show performances were awesome. The staffs were friendly and nice, they sure make us feel at home. But I was kind of disappointed at the cleanliness of a certain restaurant. The tables were not cleanse well and there were food crumbs all underneath the table. Besides that, EXCELLENT SHIP!!!
