Review summary

I had a great time, the ship I feel is no longer kid friendly as water slides and splash pad were removed, kids club, teen club and arcade were very small. I’d cruise Norwegian again but on a different ship if sailing with kids again.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Got on ship early so that was nice, but couldn’t really do anything as rooms were not available, also Weather was cruddy so there wasn’t much to do or see.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Loved Cagney’s!! Buffet was pretty good, no major complaints, could usually find something I wanted to eat. Did not care for Grand Pacific, food was bland and it was just too busy for the staff.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I enjoyed sitting by the pool. They recently removed the slides and splash pad which would have given the kids in our group more to do. These items are still listed on the website right before our sailing but we’re not on the ship. Also the Public Sundeck on the Starboard side Aft/Midship has a gate that says “crew only” but deck plans show its public.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed all of the shows. Went to all but 2 maybe. The comedian Julie Barr was great but she reused material in subsequent shows. The dancing/singing shows were enjoyed by my group as well.

Children's Programs

My teenager did not go, she wasn’t into the vibe there. Also my travel mate was told her 3yo with autism was not allowed as he had a pull up on, he wears one for precautions as he so t tell a stranger he gas to use bathroom.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff in restaurant's, buffets, and around pool were great! Internet manager was absolutely no help. Also there was frequently no one at the excursion desk during operating hours. staff in the gift shops were pleasant and nice.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I kept getting lost as I didn’t know which way I was going. I was told there used to be fish in the carpet to help with that and I feel if they still had a carpet like that then my direction would not have been that bad . Otherwise ship was decorated nicely and not too out of date.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfort was good, size was perfect for my teenager and myself. Cleanliness, that needs some work. Carpet was never vacuumed during our trip and our room steward would take forever to get our room cleaned(ie. One day we were off on an excursion from 7am-3:30pm and they were in our room when we returned at 3:30, I feel this is unacceptable as I switch to “make up cabin” sign everyday as we left for breakfast.

Ship tip

Not very kid friendly anymore.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Docked late even though we were near port for hours prior. This made disembarkation late and several passengers were upset as they had scheduled rides and such.

Easter Decorations were great!
