Review summary

It was wonderful to do a 12-day cruise with only two sea days and every port was different and they all were good. The only disappointment was the very cool and damp weather that followed us everywhere. We love the Norwegian Gem especially for the great shows in the Stardust Theater every night. No charge and no reservation needed!

Because every day was only in the 50's and overcast we could not imagine using the pool or lying on the loungers. No ping pong and hardly walking the decks due to weather.

Did a great excursion tour all over Old Quebec. Excellent!

We were greeted at the pier by townspeople dancing in costume and we were given flags, maple syrup ice sticks and blueberry juice for a friendly welcome.

We did a tour through most of the city highlighted by a visit to the Jewish Museum. Very interesting.

It really is amazing on the Gem how well the smaller ship absorbs all the passengers and nothing ever seems crowded. We always get to the shows 5-15 minutes before the show and never an issue finding seats, together and in the first 10 rows at that! We went on the larger ship the breakaway once and the difference was like night and day.
