Review summary

We weren’t prepared for the unfriendliness of staff. They weren’t organized for the disembarking at any port. Your guess as to where and what deck you could exit ship. Don’t ask questions, they either bark at you or give you the run around. We joked about Captain being at home robotically steering ship because never, ever heard or saw him. Friendliest were steward and washi washi girls.

Little direction after security check. Didn’t nt receive health form had to walk back to find person handing them out. No pens available for completing form. Seeing a smiling face would help.

Shows would’ve been good, but the band is so loud that singers are shouting. Overall then too loud.

Room steward was excellent. Waiters tried their best , but took too long for food. Guest service was unfriendly and getting them to give you a direct answer to a question was like pulling teeth. Found it odd the Captain never made an announcement or appeared anywhere. Asked a crew member whom said Captain lost his voice. For 13 days?

I had great time on the Gem and plan to cruise on the Gem again, I have experience bad service on Princess cruise line, so I know what you mean.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your vacation I’ve been on three with gem and I never had anything like your trip but I guess it happens I so miss their banana bread
