Review summary

It was what we needed at the time. I was a little put off by the up selling and pressure to book. And some of the booking features felt like a trap. It will probably be our last cruise for some time.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
additional lines and security. I had a bottle of liquor that the security person threw away and a few feet later was the table where I could check it for the cruise. unnecessarily rude. I appreciated being able to pay the corking for a few special bottles of wine and relieved they were not thrown away.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I had a few so-so breakfast experiences but the food was an improvement over last time.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
enjoyed the fitness center

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
the staff was great! Our stewardess Patrica was awesome! There was a veteran bartender at the martini bar that was exceptional. These two went above and beyond. It does seem in general that the staff are not empowered to help with certain issues/requests that come up. And there seems to be no escalation mechanism.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
the ship is starting to show its age

debarkation: NCL tries to make it unconfused by having guest debark using a color coded system...... 100% of any confusion falls on your fellow guests not following direct..... and crowded happens when you have 2500 guests doing what they want and not debarking according to color embarkation: is 100% not NCL as that process is managed by the local port operations...

Can you elaborate about your reference to pressure to book?
