Review summary
This is a hard cruise to write a review on as it seemed like two separate cruises for us. The first 4 days of the cruise were plagued with problems the most severe of which was our room was located near a crew door that had an alarm on it when it was opened which would go off at all hours of the night sometimes for 15-30 minutes at a time, it was like having your alarm go off randomly and we could not get a good nights sleep, it was so bad that we skipped our first port in Puerto Rico because we were so exhausted from lack of sleep. The second major problem that we had was we had purchased 100 minutes for internet just to check a few important emails that had to be taken care of, we budgeted 10 minutes max a day but were shocked to find on day 2 we had been charged for 60 minutes despite only being on line for less than 10. The internet manager did give us half of the time back after a lengthy discussion but I felt like he should have been able to do more . The service in general bothered me the most as it seemed like until we got the right guest service rep most of the staff did not come off as too helpful and sending a passenger a bottle of wine as a "I'm sorry" does not really go too far when the passengers have the drink package...
After these issues were fixed the rest of the trip went smoothly, the ship itself was nice the food was good (not the best or worst we have had on a cruise). The shows that were preformed were excellent and we had a lot of fun at the ports. I would consider Norwegian again however it would have to be a good deal and going into the cruise I would not expect too much out of their service staff if a problem were to arise.
