Review summary

This was such an amazing cruise because of the itinerary especially! The ship itself though was also really nice. The theater was state of the art and really amazing, the pool deck was very nice and expansive, and the crew was really helpful and nice. The shows were really top quality, and as my first experience with freestyle cruising, this was a great introduction to NCL. he things lacking on this ship though are some of the newer things that NCL has, such as an entire water park (at the time this ship only had one water slide), a ropes course, and some other newer features. Having said that, this was an amazing experience on a truly beautiful ship!

The crew was GREAT! We really got to know many people onboard, which is one of the best parts of not going on a 150,000+ton megaship!

The cabin was just the right size and had everything we needed. The bathroom was really nice and big, and had a lot of really nice colored tiles. The room was very inviting!

Ship tip

When you first board, you enter through a mini-atrium that is really nice. When I went, they also were giving out little cocktails to welcome you, so be sure to grab one!!!

I absolutely loved this city!!! We had a private tour for a few hours of the ruins, and this has become for me a hidden gem in Europe that many do not get to see!

Corfu, Greece

OMG IT WAS SO HOT THIS DAY!!! We could barely stay off the ship for an hour. The bus ride to the city was crowded and burning, and all we wanted to do was get back and be in the pool.

If you are willing to be terrified, try riding up on the donkey. Otherwise, don't be afraid to play it safe- you will probably regret it otherwise....:)

Really nice beach right at the port here. Very nice port.

Iraklion (Heraklion), Crete

Not a whole lot to do here for the three hours you are off the ship....:(

Loved Santorini as well, but really scared of the donkeys. However, I did not think there was that much to do once you get to the top. Yeah, this trip was aboard the NCL Gem in 2010.

Santorini is one of my favorite ports.  Someday I hope to return.
