disappointing after previous NCL ships (Norway and Norwegian Sun). no Captain's party, plastic flowers, no ice sculptures, disorganized in the dining rooms, cabin very small, layout not nearly as good as previous ships and colour scheme garish. entertainment is excellent. staff friendly. La Cucina restaurant was excellent and no additional charge. coffee machines in Garden Cafe serve espresso, cappuchino at no charge, a nice touch. food very good overall particularly in the specialty restaurants. Barcelona cruise terminal best ever, quick, efficient, clean and smart. embarkation and debarkation a "breeze".

quality of food good particularly in specialty restaurants but you had to book early in the morning to get a table in them if you wanted to dine between approx 6 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

this is where NCL excels i feel in the entertainment category. the shows were as good as anything Vegas has to offer.

no problem with size of ship but layout not as good as other NCL ships or many other cruise ships i've been on. decor was garish. no problem with the cleanliness. accessibilty i thought was poor.
Cabin / Stateroom

stateroom not comfortable for more than two people. decor, condition and location were fine.
one of our party took a ship's excursion to the Vatican etc and thoroughly enjoyed it but two of us just went into Civitavecchia and did some shopping.
again one of our party took the Sienna excursion whilst two of us just went into Livorno. not the greatest access to the city, long coach ride to the gates through a very industrial area. weather was poor that day so our friend did not see Tuscany in a good light.
