Review summary

Overall an excellent cruise. We really enjoyed it and met some nice people from all over the world. Food was good, drinks flowed often and we slept well.

Embarkation

Really slow. There must have been a computer issue because the line didn't move at all for half hour.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining was good. No issues at all with flavor or anything. Portion size was just fine. Seems they may have increased size a little bit.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool area, slides, spa were excellent. No issues at all. Salt water pool was fun!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ships shows were pretty good. My wife really enjoyed Choir of men and I thought it was fun as well. We thought the other show MALEVO was just ok. After a while it was like the same thing again. Howl at the moon dueling pianos was awesome!! As always. The ships other live musical groups were very talented and fun to watch indoors or at the pool. Dj's were good too.

Children's Programs

Couples trip. No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As expected the staff and service were excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Cool ship with lots of fun shops and bars and all that. Really enjoyed the ship. Loved that the art for sale was in two hallways and they changed the pictures like twice a day. Art auctions were fun. People enjoyed watching the bids.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room was nice sized and modern. The pillows were actually a little under filled but I guess that's personal preference. One seemed too flat, two was too fluffy. LOL. TV was nice, balcony was nice. Clean room. Typical sized bathroom with one sink and a shower. Room had a lot of storage. We didn't use half the shelves!!

Ship tip

Try the slide! Fastest slide on the sea was true! The floor drops out and you plunge into a warm water slide. FUN!!

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Rome is amazing. Wonderful city to visit. Walking the streets is like walking a two mile long museum.

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
A must see for anyone that hasn't been there. We've been there twice and barely scratched the surface of things to explore.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Wonderful city full of history and culture. The Acropolis was amazing.

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
A must see for anyone that hasn't been there. We've been there twice and barely scratched the surface of things to explore.

Valletta, Malta

5 out of 5
Malta was wonderful and we want to go back and spend 5 days exploring. People were nice, the streets were clean. Good bit of history and modern activities. Loads of shopping spots and beaches and cafe's everywhere.

Messina, Sicily

5 out of 5
Sicily is another place to re-visit and spend a few days exploring. Volcano, shopping, wine, city and country all on one island.

Naples, Italy

3 out of 5
Naples is ok. Really just a stop to jump on excursions out of the city.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

3 out of 5
Livorno is nice and once you get the shuttle to city center you can explore, shop, eat, drink. Catch a taxi to a close by must see. Shuttle is 5 euro p.p. and there is no way not to either be on an excursion from port or take the shuttle. The port is huge and unwalkable and 15 minutes from city by bus. Really just a stop to jump on excursions out of the city.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and painless for real!!
