Beautiful port after dark from ship. Did the Opa excursion. Food was good. A lot of walking uphill to get to the cable car down. Would be tough if you have mobility issues.
Did a private tour here also. Which didn’t pan out. Viator was who we originally booked. They subbed it out to a company who subbed it out to another company. That company was late. After 2 phone calls and a man on the dock, we had to many red flags so didn’t end up going with them. NCL had a free shuttle to town and we jumped on that and it was a perfect day.
Did another private tour( Rome cabs). Jiovanni drove us first to amalfi coast. Was so beautiful, then on to sorento for lunch then to Pompeii. Again Pompeii would be tough if you had mobility concerns.
Long excursion through NCl. Did Florence and Pisa on your own. The onboard tour guide walked us to where we were going then gave us free time, great way to go for us. Florence had lunch and a couple hours free time then walked back to the bus.
Thanks for your review, sounds like a great cruise! Was your Santorini excursion through NCL and did you only have to get the cable car on the way back? It’s the only place I’m considering doing an excursion through the ship just because I thought it may be easier being guaranteed an early tender. Also the cable car terrifies me and I’m not getting on a poor donkey!
