Unless you have the ultimate meal package, don't go to the restaurants you have to pay. You will have plenty of choice with the complementary restaurants.

Don't buy excursions through the cruise line. When going to any non-private port (Tortola or St. Thomas) There are local companies that do the same excursions for cheaper. My boyfriend and I got a round trip cab ride to a private beach on St. Thomas and half day snorkel gear rental for $35 each!

Make reservations on-line. The dining staff seems irritated at walk-ins. If you do not want to dress up and want to wear shorts, eat at Taste only. If you dress up for dinner, then Manhattan.

Take a different ship or cruise line. The initial price looks good but in the end it is more than more luxurious lines.

Have a change in your carry on-although don't carry on too much, as we boarded at noon and couldn't get to our stateroom until after 130. Get to know the ship as soon as you board, as there are many paths that you can't get there from here!

I would suggest that you make reservations for dinner online before you go on the cruise to avoid having to wait. Also, schedule your Tender times for Grand Cayman and Great Stirrup Cay as soon as you get on the ship, you can do it on your TV. The Tender times fill up quickly.

To get a early start on disembarking, take advantage of their early leave program. You can only choose this if you need no assistance in getting off the ship and can handle all your baggage. We had reservations for a shuttle to the airport. We probably were among the first 50 people to leave.

Need to know show schedule (the ones you do not need tickets too) for the week to be able to plan meals and book.
