I would definitely take the specialty dining option, however I would not pay extra, I am pretty adamant about paying for dining but as an option pick that one. Make sure and book your entertainment that has to be booked before you get on the ship.

Pick your balcony carefully as they vary greatly. Views directly down are few. Also, this ship really has no promenade deck - I like to go out to the lower deck outside for sunset, fresh air, etc. Not gonna happen on the Epic!

Other members of my group all but one had inside rooms. They said the lighting in their rooms were very dark and not very big at all. They said if they chose to travel on this ship again, they would invest in a balcony room.

Bring a change of clothes. It might take a while to get your luggage. Be patient with getting an elevator. Book the shows asap for the week.

This boat only encourage to drink and spend. Not much free & fun things to do. Don't go big, small boat is better.

NCL is a very well run cruise line - very professional but not spectacular.

Shore excursions through ship are overpriced and geared towards drinkers. If you don't drink, don't do the excursions that include free drinks.

Consider another cruise line with better service. Ultimate beverage package is minimized by poor service. This was my 10th cruise w NCL. My loyalty to NCL has come to an end. None of my latitudes benefits (frequent cruiser) were honored.

This is the worst boat to go on if u are in a wheelchair. You will not be able to get off the boat but maybe once. The service is really bad I lost $140 and had to wait for 2 hours just for them to pick me up in wheelchair van at airport and the lady was very rude i will never go on this boat again.

Definitely carry a change of clothes on board with you. Our luggage did not arrive until after 8 pm.
