Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
I give this a low rating because even with the beverage package there was no drinking water included and all the fountains were closed to fill up a water bottle (assuming this is due to COVID). If you are serving people alcohol, you need to make water more available.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment felt a little rusty- giving them the benefit of the doubt that they haven’t been able to perform in 2+ years.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Tao the room steward for 11077-11081 was fantastic.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Everything was clean and working- my only complaint is the apparent lack of bathrooms in public places. It felt like you had to walk quite a ways to find one that was open.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was clean. Bed was sub par. The outlets are under the tv in a cabinet (took me way too long to find).

Ship tip

The NCL excursion process was painful- we didn’t book ahead and weren’t able to book past Barcelona until we reached that port and the new group onboarded. Leaving the shop on a tour was drawn out and a lot of waiting. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend any of the NCL excursions except for Pompeii. Do the rest on your own to save time and frustration.

We were also on that cruise. Coffee was terrible so we also payed a lot extra at starbucks for a 'normal' americano. We always got water and ice at the outside self service bar on deck 15 or asked for soda water at the bar. Cocktails were mostly pre made and too sweet for us. Some beers were also sold out or not cold enough. We have already done this cruise in 2018 and found the drinks/food this time not as good. Still we had a great week and the last minute deal with the free at sea was verry good.

That's crazy, right, that no water (or coffee) is included in the basic beverage package. I suppose this is to force your hand into buying the "Premium Plus" beverage package (which I did). $529 for 7 days, ie $75 per day to get coffee, water and a drink or two. And premium champagne and whiskies are still excluded!
