Here are my thoughts in the excursions and places we visited
Embarkation

The embarkation day was a disaster, NCL in check in gives a time to embark, mine was at 12:30, we were there at 11:45 and we noticed a big line, a double line that surrounded all the port area and the instructions were to do the line, so it didn’t matter if you did the check in online you had to do the big line, the process took about 4!!!! Hours!!! Once inside the port you have to wait tooo another time so at the end it was almost 5 when we went on the ship…
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The buffet area is clean and well attended, to be sincere I didn’t like everything , but overall it was ok

Excellent service and wonderful food, even for someone like me that doesn’t know a lot ahout french food

The food is great but the wait to be seated was almost an hour, but worth the wait
Onboard Activities

We didn’t go to a lot of the activities to be fair, the temperature was cold for outside activities but they were open for the public
Entertainment

The Epic Beatles are really good and they have a sensational show, there’s a duo that we saw once and the lady singer have a wonderful voice, the other shows we didn’t saw them because there was an additional charge for those
Service and Staff

The staff is superb , very helpful and courteous
Cabin / Stateroom

Very clean room , the shower design is different but I think that it makes more room the fact that they are apart the shower from the toilet
Ship tip
If I could turn back time😃, I wouldn’t have taken the internet on the ship, it’s slow and it kept loading and loading and that makes you loose the minutes, it’s not worth it. We took the Hop on Hop off in Rome, it’s a great a opportunity to go to important stops but be advised there’s always a big line to take them so try to be on time for their stops.
We did the excursion of Sorrento-Amalfi and is a long drive but with beautiful scenes, there’s a stop at a cameo factory that for me was more of a point for sales, I could have preferred more time in Amalfi( only half an hour) than that stop
We did the Monaco- Nice excursion and I’m glad we did it! Nice is beautiful and easy to walk and Monaco has beautiful and narrow streets full of little stores, great places
There’s so much to see in Rome, but once you’re there the six hours that remain from the bus drive to Rome, won’t be enough but you make the most of it, I was a little surprised by how dirty and full of graffiti is the city
Thank you for the review. We were on the Epic on the 20th for the 7 days out of Rome. No lines at 11.30am. We were on the ship in 20 minutes (we had our negative testresult with us as this was asked by NCL). We heard a lot of people complaining about the check-in at Barcelona...
Thanks and glad you enjoyed your cruise! I got on the same day as you (cabin very close to you!) and only did the 3 day this time but loved it. Sorry your embarkation was a nightmare, ours wasn’t too bad but it obviously got a lot worse as the day went on 😒
