Review summary

Great cruise, great ports and great fun! The entertainment, food and crew were all fantastic.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at the port later than usual and there was absolutely no waiting. We got on the ship and our cabin was ready so we were able to leave our carry ons and start enjoying the cruise immediatley.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ate one dinner and one breakfast in the main dining room but both were excellent. The buffet had a great variety and the food was very good. We also ate two meals at Cagney's and one at Teppanyaki. Cagney's was excellent as always and Teppanyaki was great fun.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Didn't really participate in too many of the onboard activities but the ones we did were good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great!! We especially loved the Epic Beatles, if you closed your eyes your could almost hear the real Beatles. Cirque Dreams was excellent as always. The singers and dancers in Burn the Floor and Priscilla were extremely talented and the shows were very enjoyable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Especially our cabin steward, Judy. She always went out of her way to help meet our needs.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was well clean and well maintained but anyone who has ever sailed the Epic knows that the design leaves much to be desired.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Great large balconey and a lot of storage. Judy kept it very clean.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

We embarked in Rome.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
Loved Pisa was on my bucket list and didn't disappoint. Florence was so amazing. We did Florence and Pisa on Your Own and I think it was perfect because you got to see what you wanted and not what a tour guide thinks you should see.

Cannes, France

3 out of 5
Not really impressed.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

4 out of 5
Beautiful city. We did Palma in Depth and it was a great history lesson. Our tour guide Tony was very knowledgeable.

Barcelona, Spain

Naples, Italy

We didn't really do much in Naples but we went on the Pompeii on Your Own. Pompeii was amazing!
