Review summary
The Garden Café buffet was outstanding, a big highlight. It's a very clean café/buffet place, the food was delicious, the ice cream machine was empty only once (compared to most days on other companies...), the dining room was fantastic too (Manhattan Club). We did not try the fancy $$ eateries. - NCL application doesn't work onboard epic - A/C in unit 8149 not functioning correctly took 4 attempts to get maintenance to replace a broken actuator (day 6!!) which caused the problem, it went from being an oven to a freezer with no middle ground. That put a BIG DAMPER on the enjoyment of our stay... esp. when you do want to spend time in cabin b/c that's where you can find quiet... - one pool area not enough for 4100 passengers - poor access to even / odd rooms (not enough cross passage access) which requires long walks to get to the correct side. - walking / running track is limited compared to many other ships, this one is on lower deck which loops on port side or starboard side (doesn't go around whole ship as is normally the case), the kitchen exhaust side was very unpleasant to walk on! - balcony stateroom was small and cramped and bed length is short even for a person of height 5' 10". - balcony area was quite rusty showing the need for maintenance / paintingEmbarkation
