Over all, we would give this cruise 4 1/2 stars. It wasn't perfection, but it was better than a lot of our past cruises.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Drop off of luggage was very chaotic. Our key card didn't match our cabin number, so upon embarking the vessel, we had to go immediately to guest services and wait in an extremely long line, to receive to correct key card.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room was very slow, and the food was tepid. LeBistro was very good over all. the steak house and the italian restaurants had some hits and misses.

Service and Staff

We had an excellent cabin steward named Wilson. On the first day we asked him for ice, and from that day on, there was fresh ice in our cabin at all times. We never lacked for anything .
Ship Quality

We really liked this ship. We would give it 5 stars, but the casino area was way too large.

Ship tip
There are a lot of choices for food and entertainment and they usually require a reservation. Try to plan and reserve in advance as we were a little overwhelmed at first.
We took an excursion to Sorrento and Pompeii. We booked through Viator and it was called "Can't be missed" tours. Our guide was Vince and he kept us thoroughly entertained. It was our favorite excursion of the cruise.
Rome is actually 1 1/2 hours away from this port. Having spent several days in Rome in the past, we decided to rent a car and drive to Orvieto. We enjoyed this town, and it was nice to have a little time away from the crowds.
Since we had already been to Pisa and Florence, we decided to do an excursion to Sinca Terre. It was a very long drive, and the tour guide was a little boring, but Sinca Terre was amazingly beautiful. I wish we had more time to see all of the villages, but there was only time for two of them.
We took the train to Nice and walked around the old town area. We did not know that there is a beach at the end of old town. If you decide to do this, you might want to bring a swimsuit and towel if you would like to get in the water for a bit.
We took a taxi to a beach that was about 15 minutes from port. It was quite hot and the water was perfect. We enjoyed the day. Like most european beaches, it is topless optional, so if this is uncomfortable for you, then you might want to consider a tour of some kind.
