An Alaskan cruise is great no matter what cruise line you choose and well worth visiting this spectacular national treasure!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We sailed through since we had a wheelchair.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Overall, food was fine. Reservation process before the cruise and once onboard was poorly designed and staff was uninformed and of little help. Would prefer a set dining time and place. It was challenging finding accommodations for 7 people, one of which was handicapped. Italian specialty restaurant had the worst menu. It is ridiculous that getting a small milkshake in the diner incurred an additional $8 charge - since it’s the only place they’re served, and the time you have too wait, they should include it!!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Go-cart racing was fun but overpriced.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Events in the Atrium had potential but seating was extremely limited and too many of the same people monopolized the area for extended periods of time, thus making it impossible to observe or participate. One of the comedians (Warren) was too foul mouthed and disgusting, even for adult entertainment. The Beatles Invasion was enjoyable. Wheel of Fortune and Deal or No Deal were overpriced and difficult to play due to internet issues.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The room stewards and waiters were exceptional - very pleasant and helpful. The cruise services and excursion personnel were uninformed, misinformed and generally uninterested in solving any problems or getting back to us with accurate information.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was very clean. The main complaint we had was the challenge of traveling with a wheelchair/scooter bound person - waiting for an elevator to fit them was extremely long at times.
Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip
Definitely take advantage of excursions and opportunities off the ship. It’s a massive ship, so if you don’t have a need for all the extraneous options, consider smaller alternatives.
