Review summary

Larger ships such as the Encore just require larger patients. We had a great time and enjoyed the ship and the staff. 2 weeks on a ship was a first for us and we will be looking forward to doing it again soon. We will be sure to get a larger room. NCL and the Encore are first class in our book.

Embarkation

Getting to the port was a royal pain in the r**** Miami port is the worst. Once we got to the port things started looking up the porter was right there and took our bags and we went into check in and it only took a few minutes. Staff was friendly and quick and we were on the ship in no time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All the food no matter where we ate was very good. No one in our group of 5 ever had any complaints about the food. Service was also very good our longest wait for any food was the morning buffet and it was less then 10 minutes.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
the pool was great. We had a great time in the Vibe. We read so many bad things about the main pool and getting a chair but we did not experience any of that.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Choir of Men was good and so was all of the live entertainment we went to or listened to.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very nice and many of them went out of their way to make sure we were having fun and we were asked many times if we needed anything else. Top notch crew compared to some of the other cruise lines.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is beautiful, very large and was very clean. Elevator's were fast and wait was minimum considering the ship was at max compacity.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was clean the lay out was not the greatest and was smaller than other balcony rooms we have been in on other ships. If you are going to have more than 2 in the cabin you should consider larger cabins. Great location for us size is the only reason for a 3 star.

Ship tip

It paid for us to get Priority we used room service every day and it had some other perks. Vibe for us was not worth the expense, if it had a pool it would be worth every penny.e

Had to tender to port and the time allotted for Cabo really gave you no time to do much but shop

one of the benefit of getting priority was getting off the ship early. We had no trouble getting a porter and getting thru customs less than 20 minutes. Getting a taxi or Uber was a mad house. Others on the ship did not have an easy time getting off the ship at a later time.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Priority helped us getting off very early so it was a breeze less than 20 minutes from ship to curb. Ubers and taxis was a nightmare
