Review summary

This journey far exceeded my expectations for my first cruise ever. I traveled solo but I was always making friends and meeting new people I never felt “alone”. It was a remarkable experience on a beautiful ship with a fantastic crew and food to boot

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Check in was a smooth process. Every point I did need to provide a different document. Would be simpler to provide everything at once and be don. About 45 minutes start to finish to get on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was awesome all over the ship. I didn’t have a bad meal anywhere. The staff was diligent about checking for allergies which was a blessing in disguise.

Cagney's Steakhouse

5 out of 5

My steak was cooked to order. Very tasty and well seasoned. Sides were fantastic as well and staff went above and beyond!

Le Bistro French Restaurant

5 out of 5

Very fancy place. Celebrated my birthday here with a good friend and we enjoyed our meal bout server Toni made sure we had everything we needed

Los Lobos

5 out of 5

The table side Guacamole is to die for. Staff was super friendly and made sure my entire meal was perfect from start to finish. Jayesh took great care of me.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I didn’t participate in any onboard activities. I spent my time enjoying the ocean views and listening to the sounds of the waves. I walked around and around the waterfront. Such a great concept.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Kinky Boots was worth the wait. Despite some parts being shortened or cut out for times sake, it kept to the original Broadway production line and it was a great show to see over and over and over again.

Encore Theater

5 out of 5

Comfortable seating in an extremely large theatre for a cruise ship. You could not tell you were on a cruise ship just by looking at it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The three people went out of their way to make me feel comfortable cruising solo!! Always had a smile and said hello and called me by name every time they seen me!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There was crew always cleaning around the ship and disintegrating rails and handles, windows and doors. I don’t think there was a speck of dirt anywhere on this ship Very easy to get around once you were on board

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The studio cabin was spacious for one person. Plenty of storage under the bed for two suitcases. 2 closets 4 outlets 2 or3 USB ports. I could charge all of my electronics at once. This is perfect for a solo traveler. The virtual window wa a camera view from the port side of the ship where my cabin was. I like being able to see outside and what was on.

Ship tip

Bring comfy shoes to walk in. This ship is huge and you will get your daily steps in for sure!

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

The Mendenhall glacier and Mount Roberts tram tour was magnificent. We seen lots of bald eagles in their natural habitat enroute and back from the glacier. nugget falls and the surrounding scenery was something that pictures cannot describe you have to see it for yourself.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
I took the summit scenic tour and our guide Paul from San Diego was hilarious but gave us all sorts of history along our tour with photo ops along the way.

Victoria, British Columbia

Just a requirement to stop before returning to Seattle. Nothing spectacular here

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Nothing can surpass the beauty, serenity and peace that you find in Glacier Bay. Lots of Maine life. We seen humpback whales, sea otters, seals and ducks.

Seattle, Washington

Disembarkation

I cleared security and had my bags in all of about 15 minutes or less and off the ship. It was over in the blink of an eye. Extremely easy and smooth process to disembark. I was shocked
