Very Relaxing

Norwegian Dawn - fabulous entertainment - very professional. The staff went above and beyond helping vacationers. They were all very knolwedgable. Lots of kids on the cruise, but were kept busy and well behaved thanks in part to staff on boad and of course their parents. Would take this cruise again without any hesitation. Just wish we had one more day in Bermuda. Would have been worth the extra cost. The seas were quite choppy at times. The captain put everyone to ease with frequent commentaries.

The ship was really beautiful and in great shape after the renovations. I would recommend putting some music channels on the TV so that when you are in the room you can have music to listen to.The shows in the stardust lounge were so professional and entertaqining. I think having a store that sells books would be helpful too. I ran out of reading material and the library was not that good.The staff were always in a good mood and professional. They went out of their way to ensure our happiness.

We booked three rooms with different time and ways, one of the rooms we booked with NCL directly were get free upgraded to Penthouse and the one I booked with United Cruise only get the same Mini Suite and moved from the front to midship. And I have to pay more with United Cruise. But the ship and rooms were clean and service and food were very good.

We had a great time aboard the ship. There were plenty of activities to keep you busy, if you choose. I wish we had more than 2 1/2 days to explore Bermuda, just a beautiful and relaxing island.

Great week away! Wonderful weather and Bermuda was beautiful! The only complaint would be our steward...could have been much better! He took clean towels out of our room and we only got 1 towel animal the whole week! Overall, we had a great, relaxing, fun time away from life!!!

The ship is beautiful and maintained well. She is designed very well - easy to get around and find your way.

Initially, we thought our stateroom was great. The cabin had a nice picture window and the space was adequate. Once our neighbors arrived, we quickly learned that the walls were very thin. Late every evening, the young men in the cabin next door waked us at 3:30 am. Apparently, they had enjoyed an evening of partying and then several individuals returned to their cabin very intoxicated and decided to have a party in their room. After about an hour, their voices became louder and their conversation turned very disturbing. The young men were telling stories, in great detail, about the women they had relations with. This was incredibly disturbing to me, but even more so because I was traveling with my daughter. Disturbingly, we could hear everything. I called the front desk and they said they would send somebody up to take care of the situation. This bad behavior continued every night of our cruise. I am very disappointed that security did not validate my concerns. Many of the people I have discussed this with have asked why I didnt confront the occupants in the next room. As a woman, I didnt think it was safe to approach several intoxicated male individuals alone in the middle of the night. If I had done that, perhaps the situation could have turned our much worse in the end. Most importantly, it is upsetting to me that the safety and security of passengers did not appear to be a high priority on NCL Dawn.

This was our 5th time cruising, 1st time with NCL. I do not think we will cruise with NCL again, as it just wasn't as nice as we thought it should have been. The music at the pool was tooooooooooooooooooo loud! And to be at the pool or in the water, you couldn't get away from the noise. The ship was also very cold in areas. Always take a warm sweater or wrap with you!

My daughter and I just returned from Bermuda on the NCL Dawn. This was the worst cruise line I have ever sailed on. We have taken many cruises in the past (Carnival, Disney, Royal Caribbean), but NCL by far is the bottom of the line when it comes to cruise lines. My daughter and I planned a vacation to celebrate her graduation from high school. We were booked in an oceanview cabin. When we arrived at our cabin, we could hear the people on one side of us talking, but later that day guests arrived in the cabin on the other side of us and we could clearly hear them talking. The walls were very thin. Later that night, at around 3:30am, the male guests returned to their room and decided to have a party. After the party guests left, the boys were discussing their experiences with women, in great detail (very disgusting). I called security and asked them to come speak with them. An hour later, Security arrived but didn't do anything. The next morning I went to speak to Customer Service and they said, \"we do not tolerate that kind of behavior from our guests.\" Next night, same thing. We called security and it took over an hour for them to arrive. This continued every night of our 7-night cruise. When I returned home, I wrote a letter to customer service and told them what happened. They sent me a \"form letter\" back stating that they don't tolerate this kind of behavior. Obviously, NCL DOES tolerate this behavior because they didn't take any actions on the cruise and didn't change their policies after I complained. Not a very good experience for my young daughter to hear that kind of disgusting language from young men! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE BOTH ON AND OFF THE SHIP!!!!

I won't ever cruise on the Dawn again. The layout was difficult. With only one pool (plus a children's pool) the pool was unusable because there were literally hundreds of people in it at a time. The service was poor. The staff clearly was not motivated. This was pervasive from the room stewards to the restaurant staff to the deck staff... and the food sucked. I'll definitely not go on the Dawn again and will unlikely go on Norwegian again.

I found the ship to be very large. The main dining room, the venetian, was huge and you could not carry out a conversation because of the high noise level. My state room was not fully cleaned when I came onboard and the same trash remained there under a vanity for the entire lenght of the cruise.

Nice ship with a nice staff. No smoking policy needed.

Our room (balcony) was a great size. I got a glimpse of the non-balcony rooms and don't think we would have been happy staying in a smaller room. With that being said, the balcony room was very expensive. I was very worried about seasickness. You could definitely feel the ship moving, especially at night when the captain picked up speed. I recommend buying SeaBands (wristbands that apply pressure at a certain point on your wrist - they worked very well). If you do not like to sunbathe, then a cruise might not be for you. There is not much to do on your days at sea besides sit on the deck (bring twice as much sunscreen than you think you need, and bring a higher SPF than you think you'll need as well!) The ship had a few daytime activities and had a few small stores, but we expected there to be more non-sun activities. The freestyle dining concept is great. We liked the freedom of eating when we were ready. We frequently had to wait for a table in the main dining rooms, but once we figured out that we'd have to wait, we'd plan accordingly and head down a bit earlier. The food was fantastic. We never had a bad meal on the ship. The service in the main dining room (Venetian) was always outstanding. We ate at the other main dining room (Aqua) on the first night and the service was very slow. We didn't return. We dined at one of the specialty restaurants (Cagney's Steakhouse - $25/pp) and it was worth every dime - the food and service were absolutely amazing. The prices for alcohol were comparable to most restaurants. You also have to pay for soda. We were quite surprised at how casual this cruise was. We brought formal clothing because all of the pre-cruise notes stated that jeans and shorts weren't allowed in the restaurants after 6pm. However, there were people in shorts and jeans every night - even in the specialty restaurants. The ship's entertainment staff is quite talented. We found an AMAZING pianist (Ariel) who plays in Gatsby's Lounge most nights. He sounds EXACTLY like Frank Sinatra. We sat and listened to him play every single night of the cruise. If you book this cruise, do NOT miss Ariel. The shows in the Stardust Theater also looked wonderful - we would only pop our heads in to listen for a few minutes, but if I were to go back, I would definitely see the shows.

The weather was fine so it made cruising a delight. Overall, the ship was fine...some decor a bit outdated, but that may be my own personal taste. Overall, staff were accommodating, friendly, and courteous. Loved our room steward...attentive to the my grand niece. Traveled with best friend and 3 of our nieces/nephews ages 10,12, and 15.

We were very disappointed in Norwegian Cruise Line, compared to Royal Carribean, Princess, and even Carnival. They almost force you to pay extra to eat in a decent restaurant with service. Plus, they \"nickel and dime\" you to death on mandatory tips for overpriced drinks, Internet fees, and to top it off, they even charge you a fee to convert your money to gaming chips so that you can then lose it to them! At one meal, we upgraded our included house wine to something else and they refused to deduct the price of their wine and sheepishly offered to give us a 20% discount. Their food, rooms, and room stewards and restaurant staff were great. However, their young bar drink staff were rude and ignored you if you did not add on additional gratuities each time you ordered a drink. I also have little confidence that they pass along the full amount of the \"default gratuities\" to their staff!

This was our first cruise but we liked it

The ship was very small to hold so many people. There was only one main pool and jacuzzi always packed and never go a chance to go in. There was never a place to sit near the pool. Over crowded for such a small ship.
