i recommend bidding for upgrade- we upgraded to Balcony - made a big difference in comfort and enjoyment of the cruise

Will definitely take this cruise again in the future!!

Over all a really nice getaway (if you live in Boston) and great cruise to relax - no rushing around. NCL did a good job refub'ing the ship and adding the Mexican specialty. Bermuda is nice as they don't rush the ship - very laid back but attentive. not prefect but very good. Three issues which degraded the experience: 1. The quality of the restaurants varied greatly. a. Specialty: We had excellent experiences at Moderno, Le Bistro, Los Lobos (a great addition) and the Teppanyaki house, while Cagney’s, our favorite last time, was abysmal (food was embarrassingly bad – right down to the sides). b. Main: Aqua (dinner) varied dish to dish (poor presentation, composition and taste on Cordon Bleu, good Carbonara). The Venetian lunch was very good. Bamboo (dinner) was also very good. 2. Entertainment was difficult to see. a. Stardust Theater was often over capacity for the later shows as people attending the early show remained in their seats through both performances, thus preventing access to those who came later (e.g. after dinner). We missed all but the first performance due to this issue. 3. Exchanging monies a. Guest Services would not exchange Bermudian dollars once we left Bermuda. They were willing to exchange some currencies (e.g. CDN for US, CDN for GMB) but not the country we just left. It seemed a bit self-serving. On the positive side: 1. The customer facing staff – ALL the staff – were exemplary! Very helpful and accommodating at every turn – always a smile and a “how to”, not “why not”. They are a true credit to the organization. I can only presume the issues we faced are dictated or uncontrolled by management.

We will be cruising to Bermuda again. It was very enjoyable and so easy sailing out of Boston!

It was a great cruise. We had nice weather and smooth sailing. We enjoyed the time we spent in Bermuda and on the ship.

Overall it was a good cruise. We loved Bermuda and the crew was great. There are two things I wish had been different: the layout of the ship leaves much to be desired-you literally have to go through the stinky lounge and casino to get to the theater, and the guests were seated at different tables in the main dining rooms and every night we had a different waiter. We like how they seat you in the same part of the dining room on Royal Caribbean, sometimes at bigger tables and you get to know new people, at the same time the waiters are the same and they know your preferences. Disenbarkation was a mess, nobody followed the picked times, and it looked like the passangers changed their minds as the morning went. We liked the art auctions. Special thanks to Lisa and her staff. The magician, PJ Wen, was fantastic. We especially liked the Elements show. The cruise director was awesome too!

Spending an extended period of time at one port was great. Don't have to worry about checking time constantly for returning to ship.Really enjoyed that. Not rushed. Able to see alot, sleep in, eat breakfast etc. NCL offered free ferry ride to other side of island, nice touch. About a 50 min ride on a very comfortable air conditioned ferry. Still, there were lots of things we didnt see. Will need to return. Overall very pleased with NCL. I thought that the dinners were excellent. Enjoyed anytime dining. Never waited more than 10 min, maybe twice. I was initially concerned about the avg. star rating but we have no complaints. Very relaxing and fun cruise. Take shuttle at port for $7 each way pp to Horseshoe Beach. Need money for lounge chair and umbrella for two at beach. $45USD. Also has small bar and eatery there. Very resonable prices. Bring your towels. Can jump from cliffs into ocean on other end of beach. Beautiful place. Entertainment was really suprisingly good. Reall enjoyed ourselves. Comedian was funny.(Flip) Late night hours , slow. Same duo for Grand Atrium everynight. Night club was active.

Bermuda was amazing and well worth the trip, but we were not prepared as to how the ship has only 1 pool and 2 maybe 3 very small hot tubs for close to 2500 people! We also were front witness to a medical emergency in the casino, which my husband was helping a young guy in his 20's who had started having a seizure. During this time, NOT ONE employee came over to see what the problem was or how this person was. They called for the medical team, but kept playing the game and kept the table going and never even acknowledged what was going on while the whole table was tending to the young person who needed medical attention. It was quite bizarre and unsettling to say the least.

All amenities were as promised but I feel the WiFi should have either been free or a lower price. You couldn't use the APP if you didn't have WiFi.

Loved this cruise. Bermuda is gorgeous! The weather was fabulous! Love the crew and cruise director staff. Really funny and very entertaining group of folks!

Smaller ship than what I'm used to. The sevice on board was excellent. The bartenders at the pool bar and casino were on point. It was my facorite vacation that I have had so far. My moms handicapped room was huge.

easy vacation to take with family. went with kids and parents and everyone had fun. Great way to see Bermuda

Summer sailings on the Dawn are crowded, so if you're looking for quiet, peaceful relaxation, you really need to do your research about how to achieve that on the ship. It's possible though. 12520 can be noisy at night due to runners or chairs being moved overhead. Hallway noise not as bad as I thought it might be. Sail in a suite if you can...the benefits are SO worth it on NCL.

Excellent cruise. Convenient, local embarkation. Kids club was superb! Loved the staff on board. Always something to do. Great balance of time on board and in port. Food and entertainment was great!

Easy on and Easy off the ship. I chose to take my luggage and do the walk-off instead of setting my luggage out the night before. My parents set their luggage out and there was a little confusion for them on where they were supposed to wait to get off. The overall experience was awesome. There were only a handful of staff members that really should chose a different career. The cruise entertainment director was very funny and entertaining. The staff who ran the games and show were amazing. By far our favorite staff member was the Washy Washy guy from the Garden Buffet. He was so pleasant, upbeat and HAPPY. I am not typically a morning person, but he put a smile on my face every time we saw him. We would actually look for him so we could go through the entrance that he was at.

Overall a great experience ..Captain martin was our hero getting us around 2 tropical depressions!! specialty dining package a little disappointing ... other than cagneys ... main dining rooms which are included are just as good if not better ... ! The teenagers in our group didnt have many activities to get involved in ... the pool was very small and always over crowded .. it seems the staff is under appreciated so bring $$$$ to give them a tip!!! Next time we go there taking a bus in bermuda seems like a better deal than the tours ... so all in all it was a great experience !!!

As a New England resident Boston was a great port with excellent parking, and dock passenger flow and staff attitude.

Overall the cruise did not live up to my expectations. I was looking forward to sailing out of Boston, my local port to save on airfare, etc., however, I ended up spending more and getting less in comparison to other cruises I have taken. I found the ship's size to be just right - easy to get around and quick to get to my room and back if I forgot or needed something. I found the age of the ship to be a negative, as it creaked in the night and kept me awake, public areas needed a deep cleaning (furniture stained, bathrooms not working at 100%, and not as clean as I would have liked). Entertainment was good, as there was always something going on. I wish that I was able to spend more time poolside, however it was a very small area and overrun by teens at times (there was really nothing for them to do during the day, as the Entourage teen club did not open until late night). Food was a disappointment as well. I will likely stick with RCCL on future cruises.

Drink package is a rip-off. There is only one bar on the whole ship to get specialty martinis (and other drinks) and they will cost $4 extra on top of you drink package and they will be served by the slowest and rudest bar and wait staff of any of the three cruise lines I've been on. The rest of the bars will only serve drinks just above well-level drinks. Hands down the worst service and staff I have ever experienced in almost 100 nights at sea. Also the worst food (both complimentary and specialty) of any cruise line I've been on. Apparently seasoning and flavor is too expensive. Prepare to be disappointed if you have been on Royal Caribbean or even Carnival. Also, when trying to book, don't call NCL directly, their operators will lie about room availability, pricing, and will be very high pressure. Book through , best prices, friendlies sales team, great communication. I will definately book through again.
