OF THE THREE CRUISES WE HAVE MADE WITH N.C.L., THIS ONE WAS THE BEST.

The ship was nice and we would definately sail on this boat again. The ports of call were all excellent. I would recommend doing an excursion through the boat in Samana, which we did and had a blast. The port is a new stop so there isn't really anything to do right there when you get off the ship. The spa was wonderful. They had good daily specials on the days in port and almost everyone in my group tried something different. Everyone had a positive experience. The only down fall to the spa is you can not go and use the lap pool, steam and sauna rooms without paying a daily fee. The gym was spacious and never crowded. The equipment was well maintained. The game rooms were a nice retreated on days at see when you needed a break from the sun. The staff was all very friendly. Bingo was more expensive on this boat.

We believe that the Dawn needs a complete renovation.

The Dawn is a beautiful ship! We had an oceanview stateroom on Deck 4 and were impressed by the size of the room and bathroom, especially compared to other ships we have cruised. The room still looked new, even though the ship is more than 5 years old. We were pleased with the dining selections on the ship and especially enjoyed Impressions (Italian) and Bamboo (Asian fusion). The entertainment varied greatly. The performance troupe was very talented and put on good shows; one comedian (Ted Holum) was hillarious, Second City was funny, but the comedian/magician Bart Rockett was terrible. The ports and shore excursions were definitely the highlight of this cruise -- we had a great time at Samana, Tortola, and St. Thomas!

Perhaps not as classy as Royal Carribean (which was our only other experience), but lots of dinner choices, pleanty to do on board, a great room (we got upgraded). Nothing really to complain about

We have sailed on thes ship before and the last time was 4th of July 2006 and we forgot about school being out so we were on a ship that was 50% young children. This trip was different in that the pool deck was filled with older unruly children. The beer promotion was a part of the cause and the rest was just people who do not know how to behave in public

The ship is beautiful but strangely laid out. There are many bars and eateries that are simply part of the main hallway flow, not much deliniation between the guests enjoying a meal or beverage and the flowing traffic going to a fro to various activities. The main attrium is very nice with the Java Cafe off to one side and the reception area opposite. We kept getting turned around, but I believe that's normal. There were plenty of plaques around telling you where you were, and where everything else was.

Please don't waste your money on a Norwegian Cruise. My husband and I took the cruise over new years and it was not a good idea. The lines for dinner were very long and lines for reservations in the specialty restaurants wrapped around the deck and took hours and then there were only odd times available. We were a group of 2 and could not make reservations for the regular dining rooms but large groups could. One night we waited hour for dinner and were told if we wanted to eat then we would have to share a table; when we were eventually seated we were at the table for over two hours and left before we the waiter came for the desert order. It took 25 minutes just to get some rolls. The shore excursions were over booked and did not have enough equipment. On one of our excursions we paid extra to go to a private beach but since the trip was overbooked we were only able to go to the beach for 15 minutes before we had to head back to the boat. I have cruised before and would not recommend Norwegian. Freestyle dining means youll be free to wait in line everyday and for long periods of time, lets face it thats not what we go on vacation to do. Spend your hard earned money on another cruise line.

Everything is clean and the service superb. Need to clarify to the guests the tipping procedure, so noone gets jipped. The food is also wonderful, we ate in most all of the restaurants. I would like more fitness classes and a bigger class area. The spa is great, but somewhat overpriced. Bingo is too much $$. And the casino needs more low priced tables. Wait time to get on a table is ridiculous. Staff is super.

The NCL Dawn is a nice ship with nice public rooms and lounges. I liked the design and colors of the ship . This was not the problem

I've been on five cruises and by comparison their entertainment was very poor. They had the same group every night which we felt was promoting scantily clad costumes and did not have actual singing and dancing skills. We expected to pay daily service charges but they also add 15% service charge on every purchase made on the ship. There are a lot more than average extra fees on this ship. Dinner is only included in two of their six restaurants and we could never get reservations at those two, so we spent almost $400 on dinners throughout the cruise. Cabins are very small and you can hear everything in the next room.

I really enjoy crusing with Norweign. I cant say enough about the staff. We ran into Hurrican olga and the Capt of the Dawn did a great job in keeping us safe. We enjoy the open seating and just being casual. I cant wait till next year when we sail with Norweign again. My hat is off to the staff and crew of the Norweign Dawn.

We loved this ship and the NCL line.We were very surprised!!! Only because it was our first NCL cruise...but it will NOT be our last!!! As a matter of fact we took advantage of putting down for another cruise while on board...a great way to save a few dollars!!!

The people(crew and staff) on the Dawn are very friendly and the English spoken is very good. Norwegian does a great job of training the crew. This was my third time on the same ship but the first for my adult daughters. One had been on a Carnival cruise previously and was very impressed with the Dawn. She especially enjoyed the freestyle dinning. She also thought the crew was wonderful in all the activities we did. Her twin who was on her first cruise is now a confirmed cruiser. Even with the rough weather we hit she was amazed with the stability of the ship. She loved being treated like a special person by everyone. I now have two young ladies who think we should do an annually Mother/Daughters cruise. Easy for them since my foot the bill on this one...which wasn't all that bad. We even had a mini suite that had plenty of room for three women and their stuff!

The ship was absolutly gorgious. From the Oasis pool, surronded by hot tubs to the main atrium with crysal chandeliers, just an overal breathtaking site. The most impressive to me was how the ship is set up to place children on one end of the boat and the adults on the other places. Being a single guy, the one thing I didn't want going on this cruise was to be surronded by kids. The last cruise I went on, thats exactly what happend. The specialty restaurant are another thing that put this trip way over the last. Granted it is nice to sit at the same table everynight and become friends with wait staff, but variety is the spice of life, thats what this ship offers. From the French Bistro to the Steak House, it truly was dining at its finest and for only an extra 20 dollars per person, totally worth it. The nightlife on the ship was a lot of fun. Mostly everything closed at 10 or 11 but Dazzels night club was open until 2 and every night there was a great crowd mixing it up and having fun. By the end of the mostly everyone knew each other, an overal great time.

We just sailed on the Norweigan Dawn, and it was great. The ship was clean and in tip top shape. We had a 7 day cruise from maimi and it was just spectacular. The weather was great and the ports we stopped in were educating and exciting. This was our first cruise, but we had his sister and brother in law who are avid cruisers, so it was like having our own tour guides for the cruise. There was always alot of things to do and the diningrooms were very nice. I would recomend this cruise ship toanyone intrested in a 7 day cruise to the eastern carribbean.

This was our first cruise with NCL and we loved it. We ate at a different restaurant every night. The music/singers in the different lounges were great. The only disappointment was with the entertainment in the theater, we felt it could have been better. The ship never felt crowded. Our cabin was just the right size. The amount of storage was more than adequate. The staff was very helpful and always smiling. Without a doubt we would cruise with NCL again.

The ship is clean and comfortable

The ship was very impressive. We particularly enjoyed walking outside on the seventh deck. Our balcony was very nice.

The Ship was beautiful and very clean. The staff was amazing, always smiling, pleasant and helpful. I really like the freestyle cruising as it was not as regimented as others i have heard about. There were plenty of places to eat and the food presentation was awesome, but unfortunately the food was rather tasteless. The entertainment was fantastic!!!
